My wife and I just got a motorhome - an rv - and would like to use it in ministry. We have given retreats and catechesis, and it seems to me that there might be Catholics out there who would like to go “camping” in some beautiful place AND pray and reflect on the things of God at the same time. In other words, have a retreat with fellow Catholics in the beauty of God’s creation.

I found this old thread in the “Water Cooler/Back fence” forum from 2006 - so 6 years ago. Are any of you participants in that thread still here? Is anyone interested in the concept I’ve described?

I think you have a great idea! Kind of like a Vacation Bible School in a campground!

As a Director of Religious Education, I would suggest using faith formation materials approved by the bishop of that area. Materials published by Loyola Press, St. Marys Press, Ignatius Press or Sadlier.

There are a lot of great materials from many companies at comcenter.com/

You might want to get permission from the Bishop’s office in that diocese.
