I feel as though my children, grades kindergarten and 1st, got very little out of our parish CCD program. I would like to catch them up, and take responsibility for teaching them about the Catholic faith. Can anyone recommend a good text/curriculum/catechism?

Thanks

Hi Lori,
I am sorry you didn’t feel your children got the religious education you were expecting them to get. How lucky they are to have a parent like you to take matters into your own hands.

I teach a 3 year old class and our parish uses the RCL Benziger Curriculum. I know they have curriculum for the ages your children are. I will admit, I have had to tweak some of the lessons to make them more 3 year old friendly, but it is a good solid curriculum that the kids can relate to.

I am sure if you do a search on the company it will direct you to the website where you can get more information about books and guides more in line with your children’t ages.

If you have any questions, just email me. I would be glad to help. 👍
