My daughter is studying the first section of the Youcat for school & I would like to be able to quiz her, but haven’t been able to find any premade quizzes online. I would rather not reenvent the wheel if there is already something out there. Any suggestions?

The easiest thing is to get the Youth Catechism, read a part, and ask her a question concerning what you just read. Other than that, I’m not sure if there’s any actual quizzes. Maybe you could ask a Priest friend to quiz her.

If you searched as I did, there’s not much online stuff out there for more academic quiz of the Catechism.

The only thing I found (and trust–there are many sites out there that are not to be trusted technologically or morally with “quizzes”) is “The Pop Quiz From Hell,” created by our very own Karl Keating, Catholic Answers President (with apologist Patrick Madrid helping out).

The 20 answer quiz answers fundamentals of the faith, much of which may be in the Catechism. I missed three, which was pretty good. Your kid might enjoy it–but I bet you will enjoy it more. In fact, I’d encourage EVERYONE who thinks they know their stuff to give this test a go. It’s well done.

Now, this is on the archived old version of the Catholic.com website but the link works fine. It’s not a web-based quiz (no pop-ups or buttons, just text), so you can print out the quiz part and the answers separately.
