At the Easter Vigil, does your parish bring Candidates for Full Initiation into the Church as well the Catechumens?
My parish used to do both. But several years back we switched to keeping the Easter Vigil for Catechumens (with a few exceptional cases.) Candidates for Full Initiation are brought into the Church at various other times of the year.
One particularly exceptional case that I remember was when a mother with several children was baptized. Some of her children had been baptized (not as Catholics) but not all. She had also just given birth not long before the Easter Vigil. Her baptized children were received into the Church and she and her other children (including the newborn) were all baptized.
