I have no idea what a “sun salutation” is.
That said, may I suggest the “Hail Mary” prayer?
Mary is known to Catholics as the Woman Clothed with the Sun.
“Hail” is a salutation, in fact, it is the greeting that the Angel Gabriel
gave to Mary at the Annunciation.
And Jesus, God the Son
is at the center of each Hail Mary.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

I have a wii U fit and I use it regularly for exercise. In the yoga portion, if I choose to do the sun salutation, I just consider it to be stretching and physical/core muscle balance. I don’t focus/dwell on what some other spiritual teachings may be added to it by some.

I’m afraid I don’t know any Catholic alternatives, but if it is troubling for you Pilates has the same physical benefits without the hindu philosophy.

I wanted to know to; if there is something wrong in doing just the move sequence without mantra. What do the Catholic church say about this??
