Don’t the Orthodox Jews of today believe in a place of Purification,and Catholic believe the same thing but Catholic call it purgatory,is this statement right or wrong
If not a place, at least a similar concept and process. The basics of purification continuing after death is, IIRC, a very Judaic concept; Catholics actually drew the idea from Judaism (and Scripturally from the story of the Maccabees). Even more so, the idea that the acts of people on Earth can be done for the benefit of the souls of the dead (think indulgences) is rooted in Judaism.
