Catholic and Lutheran joint statement for life

This is where Catholics and Protestants need to put aside differences and recognize we are common soldiers in a culture war. A war against life.
 
The foundation for ecumenism is the Christians united in action on the most important issue of our generation.

“Church Militant” formerly was identified as a Catholic ministry. Later the Catholic Church broke off all identification with the group, and required it to drop any reference to “Catholic” in its name. I don’t want to discourage anyone from reading it. But since some might get the impression, from reading the article, that it is in fact a Catholic ministry, it is fair to point out
that it is not in any way related to the Catholic Church.

This isn’t the first time Archbishop Carlson and President Harrison have joined forces.

Hi Jon, its been awhile sense we last talked.

I spent the moring reading this "booK relwased on the USCCB site [United Staes Conference of Catholic Bishops]. Not being a theologian I found it to be confusing:

Is it saying that Lutherans Do have Seven Sacraments validly and licit y?

And #2 is it saying the the RCC has agreed to Sola Scriptura theolgy?
"The latter agreement, echoing also later (in No. 6), affirms as well the central role in both of our churches of practices with perceptible, embodied components, such as baptism, the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist, exercising the keys for the forgiveness of sins, and designating and ordaining members for the pastoral office of preaching, sacramental celebration, and pastoral care. A further perceptible element at the very center of the lives of believers and communities in both our churches are the Scriptures that we take to be inspired and canonical (No. 5). 15 The Church: Towards a Common Vision states in § 23 that the church

Praise be to God! And thanks for all you good Catholics who are building a culture of life - this Lutherans appreciates it very much - especially your consistent welcome in joining you in this effort.
