Ok,
I get a little heated, and i say things that are a bit over the top.
Im very passionate about my faith and i get a bit heated in defending it…

Okay, I’ll buy into this as well. I can be sarcastic and have been known to be less than charitable when I perceive that the person I am speaking with is behaving in a similar fashion. So, to all those Protestants, Atheists, Agnostics, etc. out there that I have offended… I apologize. 👍

I’m sorry that I fail to clearly communicate when I’m playing around and when I’m serious.

That’s led to alot of misunderstanting.
 
Ok, i did try and apologize to a particular visitor here, which i shall not name, then instead of being forgiving and charitable, which Catholics are, and this person is NOT Catholic, they accused me of lying for being sorry. :mad:

Firstly, its not a Catholics intention to LIE about such things. Lying is a sin, even small white lies!
Secondly, i know of only ONE religion that allows lying, and im NOT part of that religion!

So if you dont accept my apology, so be it, all the best in the future!

Well, when Jesus of Nazareth and The Passion were filmed, both sets consisted of secular people who cursed and made foul jokes on the set, but as soon as the lead characters appeared in full make up, the sets grew dead silent.

The imagery was so powerful that atheists were converted on the spot. Former Christians came back to the faith.

I WISH I had been an Apostle.

I am sorry if I have offended anyone at Catholic forum.

I will try in future to pray before I reply, and to have Charity.

The thing we do not want to get into, is, and I say this with the greatest of respect, to try and blast every other denomination.

Sometimes, as a Catholic, I sort of shrink in shame, as I know that by jumping into the tank & going for it with all guns blazing, is not really in the charity & love of Our Lord.

Sometimes we are so guilty of being aggressive, and again with the greatest of respect, somewhat rude.

So lets make 2008 the year to embrace our fellow humanity, and simply love them to Salvation in Jesus name.

I had similar experiences with a Catholic in this forum.

He spat on my apology.

He got mad at me because I quoted someone else and he said he never made that comment. (My post was not even addressed to him 🤷 )

I thought my post was fine, but in good charity I reference the post I was quoting from and apologized for not being clear.

Instead of accepting my apology, he chastised me further and insulted me to boot.

Now, I would like to try to get along with everyone and conduct myself in a good Christian manner, but this man continues to insult and falsely accuse me. Saying that I have a demon on my back and I don’t believe in the divinity of Christ Jesus, etc, etc. (Those are some of the nicer things he has said)

I confess to you that I can no longer control myself concerning him. That is why I have to abandon threads shortly after hi joins them.

I am sorry for not being able to conduct myself with charity toward this person.

Surely I would like to be a better Christian. But instead, I must avoid him to avoid temptation.

You actually brought tears to my eyes.

I did respond with kindness in the beginning, then to “knock it off”. As time went on it turned to animosity. I left the forum for a few days and when I came back I made sure I stayed clear of threads this person was posting on. I’m convince this person is intentionally following me around. It’s too big a coincidence to believe a person I am trying to avoid just happens to end up on every thread I join or start.

Anyway, there’s no denying the problem is now with me.

I know what I should do, but I do not do it.
