Catholic and Parmalim (know as a local religion in Batak Toba / Sisingamangaraja dinasti or Sinambela) is that similar?

Thank you for accepting me in this forum, it was my first question, I’m not a good English because I’m from Indonesia. I’m a bataknese from Panjaitan. I was the 18th Panjaitan. In Bataks there was an old religion called Parmalim. They prayed to Jehovah, Virgin Marry, and King Rum (maybe King from Byzantine / constantinopel), and other Kings at Bataks tradition. Sometimes people think parmalim was a nestorian because they use like a black Magic but they know virgin Marry. So, how about your opinion ?. Bataks had a war with padri (padang / minangkabau) in 19century. Because a bad Islamic doctrine (wahabi) from Tuanku Imam Bonjol. Bonjol use Tuanku Rao as known Pongki nangolngolan Sinambela / situmorang (Pongki was born because an incest accident) to fight his uncle Sisingamangaraja X (10th) to influence Islam in Bataks land. In The End padri have a half land from Bataks land, : South Tapanuli (Mandailing) and little piece TOBASA (Toba, Angkola, and Simalungun). Now in this age the most Bataks people who doesn’t had an islamic influence convert to a protestant (HKPB). Protestant was influence from Netherlands misionarist called Nomansen. From a simple search on Wikipedia, no, there is no similarity except perhaps worship of one God, though our understanding of the one God is also very different.
