There’s only two Protestant examples I can think of and they’re Billy Graham and Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
Here’s a few names for you to ponder with rather interesting stories:

William Wilberforce
Amy Carmichael
Wang Zhiming
David Livingstone
Eric Liddell
Pete Flemming
Esther John
Martin Luther King Jr.

Of course there’s many, many more if you take the time to look. I’ve taken the time to get to know Catholic saints, and thus I’m respectful of their contribution to the faith. In any case, I would argue that perhaps there are more than 2 Protestants whose faith is worthy of emulation…

I highly recommend a book called “Amazing Grace” by Eric Metaxas. It’s a biography of Wilberforce. He also wrote a book called “7 Men”, which is a set of short biographies. It includes the story of Eric Liddell, one of the protagonists of the movie Chariots of Fire.

Liddell laid his career and his patriotism on the altar when he refused to run an Olympic race on the sabbath. Surely this is a “good work” all Christians should strive for? I wonder what made him do such a thing? And what made him then leave to China as a missionary devoted to leading people to Christ, only to end up dying in an internment camp?

Following Liddell’s lead - I wonder what God is calling us to lay on his altar? How are we to die to self tomorrow?

Thank you, TULIPed for your loving reply. I appreciate that you didn’t attack me for what I said.

I’ve seen in Protestant communities in my pre Catholic days that there are many sincere God loving people that honestly live out their faith as best they know to do. I love and respect your guys’ love and faith.

I’ve always respected people who faithfully live out their principles; even in trying times.

What I’m basically trying to say with you guys is that I love you guys as my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Simply, I know you guys do the best you can, and many do it wonderfully; with the less than the fullness of the Faith you guys have and I respect that. I will love you, support you and pray for you as my separated brothers and sisters in Christ.

I hope this is a fair thing that I can say and offer for all of you.

What I do and say with you guys is from love.

I honestly wonder if you have any idea how condescending this reads.

I’m sorry, I’m not trying to be condescending. I’m sorry everyone for sounding so.
