I dont think of any filipinos here that are convert from either sects. However,I know of several acquaintances that left the INC and became RC.

I was shocked to learn though that filmstar Janice De Belen converted to INC.I thought then, that she was an intilligent woman. What a pity?

She did? I know she used to go to an Evangelical church here in BF Paranaque. If she did go INC, then she’s more adrift now than when she was with that Evangelical church.

Yes indeed, she stated that she stopped celebrating Christmas since she converted to INC,two years ago. However, she continues to celebrate a Tradition she grew up with, i.e. “Noche Buena”.This was her response during an interview by Dolly Carvajal of Phil Daily Inquirer.

my dear brothers and sisters in Christ i would like to greet you all mabuhay!i am very glad to hear that my fellow filipinos are concerned about whats going on in our country and our church.I spent few years in manila and i studied apologetics with St. Peter men’s Society where i learned additional knowledge on how to defend the faith.my mother inspired me a lot with her strong faith and from the simple life we have.I learned the scripture basically from the readings during the mass since i was young and it’s in my heart. That’s why when I was in high school I was so curious about what other christians view of my faith so i attended baptist bible study but the very first uncatholic doctrine that i heared sola fide and the belief that once saved always saved , i found myself defending the catholic faith and started to read the bible.Knowing that I am telling the church teachings I will always win in any arguments not primarily of my wit but the splendour of catholic faith, just present it and it will give Light!
I was never ashamed of my belief whenever I am challenged to defend. I was invited to ADD while I was in Singapore and Soriano ridiculed the pope and the doctrine of infalliability right there and then when they said that we could ask questions I stand and I asked him this question,“Can you give me an example of what
you just said that,” pope after pope teach a doctrine that contradicts each other" He has not answered me but said something about Gallelio which I know very well as no good answer to my question .So I just laughed and never allowed to question him again.I was told that somebody will talk to me with my question ,only to be told later that soriano’s representative had read more books than me and he is older than me period !
Here in UK I just started to have a with dialogue with non catholic group which I would like to describe them as sincere christians.
Catholic is really misrepresented or I would say never presented to them I shared with them about the church role and authority, and how we got the bible based on history and the belief of the first christians about the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. they are very interested about our faith
next month I wil be there again to visit my family and hoping I could also do some apologetic works to serve the Lord
God bless us all! 👍

I’m glad to find there is a Filipino Catholic population online. I am a Filipino American whose parents moved here from Cebu. We just celebrated the Sinulog for Santo Nino.

INC=Iglesia ni Cristo?

Buwagin ang Mapanirang Iglesia ni Manalo! Iligtas ang mga kasapi ni manalo na nadala dahil sa kakulangan ng katekismo ng Iglesia Katolika!

brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus may the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us.These cults are roaming around in our country and they are decieving many of our fellow catholics.the ADD of soriano, the INC of Manalo, the Jehova’s witnesses and the mormons of Joseph Smith. If you have observed these cults they have all the same goals which is to attack our church.they cannot spread their beliefs without smearing the church in order to justify their very existence. They are willing to tell a lies in order to decieve people.Well, base on my experiences in dealing with them however I would say that they were decieved themselves and are shown in their ignorance in using the bible properly.Sometimes I can’t help not to laugh when I am on my own then sorry for them because they hold a false belief.this had opened my eyes seeing these people who are propagating a false doctrine while they are convinced that what are they doing is the most sublime thing to do.I told to myself that if I will do nothing I will be judged for not telling them the truth. So we catholics will be accountable, we who know the truth yet we do nothing we will go with them to hell.

I will be sharing some arguments on how to crush their arguments and why they are false God bless us all catholics and God bless and heal our land Philippines, my home

Too bad I wasn’t able to go to Steve Ray’s talk, since it was also on the same day as he Pacquiao-Morales fight, hehe!

Sad News From The Philippines:

Philippines: Terrorists Massacre Christians
Friday, February 03, 2006 12:00:00 AM GMT

A cold-blooded massacre of Christians in the Philippines, believed to be the work of Muslim terrorists, has raised fears of a full-scale religious conflict in the region around Mindanao, the AsiaNews service reports.

Gunmen broke into a farm in the small town of Patikul and killed six people, including a 9-month-old baby girl, after first having asked if they were Christians. Five others were wounded in the attack.

The gunmen were believed to be members of the Abu Sayyaf organization, a Muslim extremist group with links to al Qaida. Muslim terrorists have been active in the region around Mindanao.

well of course, this only shows that fillipinos are religious people, it’s sad to say that some of our brother’s have wondered from the faith, well this is because, we know little of our faith, i mean in regards to the catholic doctrine which is in concordance with the scipture. 😦 so we really need someone to teach us.
we pray for that ok 👍

Manny Pacquiao is a very devout Catholic. His example in the ring is an inspiration to all Filipinos, especially to Catholic Filipinos.
