Greetings!!!

Kindly check the word Catholic in the Book of the Prophet Isaiah… I think He also mentioned the word “Catholic” but can’t remember where.

Also, have any plans of expanding the Catholic Faith Defender Nationwide?

In Christ,
Wawe…
I don’t know what is the plan of the CFD board… But maybe they had already plan for it. Maybe the CBCP can help a lot, by supporting Catholic Faith Defender. CFD’s mission is to teach remote and NO CFD area so that Filipino people must be educated in the Catholic Doctrine.

Brad there is NO Problem with CFD, the Problem are the Support of Bishop/ local priest and Money so that they could teach Catholic and Non-catholic People, and maybe participating in a formal Debate!!

The more Catholic Faith Defender; The lesser the protestant sect; the greeter number of Faithful Catholics which are not corrupt!!

Without CATHOLIC FAITH DEFENDERs; the Philippines after 25-50 yeas from now will become a protestant country!!!:mad: 😦

Brad wawe try this…

Rom. 1:8 (NOVUM TESTAMENTUM GRAECE) “He pistis humon KATangeketai en HOLO to kosmo…”

Isaiah 62:1 (VULGATA LATINA) (Cebuano-“Bag-ong Siyon kun Simbahang Katoliko.”)

Leviticus 17:3,(Douay Version) -footnote- “The law of God forbids sacrifices to be offered in any other place but at the tabernacle or temple of the Lord: to signify that no sacrifice would be acceptable to God, out of his true temple, the one, holy, catholic, apostolic, church.”

James. 1:1 (NOVUM TESTAMENTUM LATINE) - “EPISTOLA CATHOLICA BEATI IACOBI APOSTOLI.”

James 1:1 (Douay Version) Catholic or Universal

👍

Greetings!

May the blessings of the Almighty be with the CFD Board so they maybe able to put up chapters in areas where most sects are busy “fishing” Catholics.

For me, the first and foremost is to educate our brothers and sisters first and try to “win” back those who left the Church… As far as I know, there are more than a million Catholic people leaving the Church every year and we must PUT A STOP to this if not, minimize it.

After this we could engage those sects head on… if God permits.

I’m trying to check where Father Manuel P. Duetao is now. I’ve read some of his books defending our faith i.e. The Unanswerable Answers and, History, Founders of other sects… I think he’s the man for the job. Or at least, he could help us…

To tell you honestly, I’ve written at least two letter to my Parish Priest about educating our fellow Catholic (Bacoor, Cavite) when I was in the Philippines but did not get any answer until I left.

Anyways, we can start here… lets invite more Catholics in this site to help them…

In Christ,
Wawe

My Idea Bro is to get some help with the Catholic Answer Apologist; with their help…maybe CBCP promote Catholic Faith Defender with their respective Diosis and Parish.

Brad wawe “hindi ka nag iisa” what I mean that my Father (also a Catholic Apologist member of CFLAM fouded by John Precillas) also ask our parish priest to promote the apologetics and Catholic Catechism but sadly our priest didn’t agree.

CBCP also instead educating the Filipino Catholic, they were busy of Political aspect.

:mad:

To CATHOLIC ANSWER forum moderator Michael Francis please excuse me writing my feelings below…it is written in Tagalog…just address for CBCP…

Iglisia ni Manalo, Jesus is Lord. Protestante atbp…!!!

Ipinagdasal ko na sana ang mga CFD ay dadami at magpapatuloy sa kanilang pamumuhay ng Tapat at may akot sa Dios…

Salamat…

CBCP tulongan ninyo po kami…

Greetings!

To all my Filipino brothers and sisters in this forums, maybe this is the right time to promote CATHOLIC ANSWERS website and FORUMS and to those Catholics there in the US (Filipinos), you have read what our Apologists in the Philippines wants…

Can WE do something about this? There are volunteers now, but lacks books, bibles and tracks… maybe there are some Catholic friends residing in the US and near the CA HQ who may personally coordinate this matter to CA. I mean, books, tracks and bibles particularly the Ignatius Bible and rights to reprint it (tracks) in many local languages in the Philippines. And of course funds for this endeavor say asks Filipino Catholic Communities there…

Kailangan natin ang mga CA tracks kasi (we need CA tracks because) most of the Catholics in the Philippines can’t afford to go to an internet cafe.

This is one of the many wonders of the Catholic Church in the Philippines, 85% of the population is Catholic yet we can’t print important tracts to give out to clarify our doctrines and teachings… I mean if some small sect(s) in the Philippines can do it why not the Church with its vast resources. I know maraming mag vovolunteer at sasama kung magkakaroon lang ng mga seminars sa teachings ng Church lalo na sa mahihirap na lugar ng ating bansa (there would be many participants and volunteers that would join if there will be seminars regarding the teachings of the Church most specially in poor areas of our country). I mean if the Church could arm some of it’s member with proper knowledge… these people with their seal will share this knowledge to others…

Actually, I have also made an EMAIL to the CBCP as far as I can remember 2006… pero hanggang ngayon ala pa ring sagot (but until now, haven’t got any reply). Maybe we should make our moves now and make our voices heard…

In Christ,
Wawe

Brad Wawe is right… So pls… email your fellow Filipino Catholic in USA so that they could also contribute and educate in their Catholic Faith…

I don’t know if CBCP is Blind for what is hapening now in the Philippines… I will pray for them…🙂

To all members of Catholic Answer particularly a Filipino, please2x help Catholic Answer to promote Catholic Apologetics particularly in our poor country-the Philippines(what I mean is poor or lack of Education with regards to Catholic Teaching).

SANA PO MAG TUTULUNGAN TAYO!!

👍

Greetings!

Please respond to our call…

Will we wait until the 85% Catholic population is down by 20% remember a million a year…

Need your help…

In Christ…

Good day my Filipino Brethren!

Defensores Fidei Foundation already brought Tim Staples & Steve Ray to the Philippines 2 years ago. Tim works at Catholic Answers and Steve is a regular guest and contributor as well. In fact, there were apologetics seminars held in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. There was a rumor I heard that Steve might probably return to the Philippines this August.

My suggestion is that we shouldn’t be so hasty in approaching our Bishops and Priests regarding apologetics otherwise they might become more disinterested. So many times, I myself got a cold shoulder from priests every time I talk to them about apologetics. The usual “UH-HUH” reaction is never missing. Either because apologetics is so basic for them or they are not interested at all.

I notice that in almost every locality, not just in the Philippines, it is the “sheeps” (laymen) instead of the “shepherds” (Bishops) who had the initiative in promoting evangelization & apologetics.

Please read this very excellent analysis of Fr. Brian Harrison as regards to this issue:
rtforum.org/lt/lt18.html

Not that layperson should not do anything, but it would be great to see our Bishops and priests be as passionate and interested in spreading the gospel in the same way they are very “fiery”
when it comes to POLITICAL ISSUES. In fact the 1994 Catechism of the Catholic Church in the PROLOGUE Sec. 12 says,

"This work (Catechism) is intended primarily for those responsible for Catechesis: FIRST OF ALL THE BISHOPS, AS TEACHERS OF THE FAITH AND PASTORS OF THE CHURCH."

Probably almost all Catholic Apologists in the Philippines know about Catholic Answers. I agree with you that we should promote this organization! If priests and Bishops are not interested in apologetics then we should bring it to those WHO MIGHT, namely the Basic Ecclesiastical Communities or what we in the South commonly call the GKK (Ginagmay Kristohanong Katilimban.) These communities are the LIFE AND BLOOD OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IN THE PHILIPPINES. From what a deacon told me, THEY ARE OFTEN THE TARGET OF PROTESTANT SECTS BECAUSE OF THEIR PASSION IN SPREADING THE GOSPEL VOLUNTARILY.

Remember my friends, when Jesus started preaching, he did not start in his hometown because of their disinterest. He instead preached to the Gentiles where they show interest in his works. Let us find priests and Bishops who might show interest and CONCERN in our endeavor, I believe there are still few.

Second, LET US BRING THE GOSPEL TO THE YOUTH. Majority of our population comprise of youth. Let us introduce apologetics to organization like YOUTH FOR CHRIST AND SINGLES FOR CHRIST or those CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC ORGANIZATIONS. At least THERE IS A PRESUMPTION THAT THESE ORGANIZATIONS ARE PASSIONATE IN SPREADING THE GOSPEL. What we need to do is ARM them with the RIGHT TOOLS.

Third, SCHOOLS ARE DIFFERENTLY AGENTS OF CHANGE. The influence they have in society is undoubtedly significant! That’s why we need to penetrate school organization so that people can see and listen to what we are teaching and advocating. If we can get schools to support us, we might attract students as members who might contribute both intellectually and financially to our advocacy! 🙂

God bless you all!👍

Is
Defensores Fidei Foundation and Catholic Faith Defenders the same organization?

If not, why don’t you merge them?

Do these organizations have a confessor or moderator? A priest perhaps?

Why don’t you make it a Congregation just like the RVM, SJ or Opus Dei? Send a letter to the CBCP and ask for their approval.

IamAce,

DFF and CFD are actually two different organizations whose principal objective is to defend the True Church even in public fora (Code of Canon Law 229).

As to CFD, the itemize objectives are as follows, to wit;

a. To help the Church in the propagation of the Gospel;
b. To study the doctrines, dogmas, precepts, and traditions of the Church;
c. To uphold and defend, in writing and in speech, the Catholic Faith from attacks and denunciations whether from within of from without;
d. To conduct Bible studies, catechetical instructions, seminars, rallies, prayer meetings, and other religious activities;
e. To enhance the faith of the members by conducting a continuing study of the Catholic religion with emphasis on the Holy Scriptures;
f. To render assistance to the parishes in the formation and development of Christian Communities;
g. To render moral and spiritual aid to the poor and the needy;
h. To promote for the sanctification of the members as well as their zeal in implementing the program of activities;

Both are canonically recognized as valid organizations within the frame of Philippine Catholic Heirarchy. DFF is more concentrated in the Northern part of the country (Luzon) while CFD is more focused in Visayas and Mindanao areas. Both groups are augmenting their causa to indeed equip members to become soldiers of Christ.

There are CFD who are members of Apologia, DFF’s yahoogroup. DFF and CFD do share information and resources we found in the net. In fact, one CFD gave DFF a copy of that Iglesia debate. Some DFF members have friends in CFD.

One of DFF’s spiritual adviser is Bishop Paciano Aniceto. He was I think the former head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith here in the Philippines.

It would be great for CFD and DFF to work as a team and propose to the CBCP their common advocacy which is APOLOGETICS and EVANGELIZATION.

Itnayr let’s set the date for our meeting. Just text me bro.hehe:thumbsup:

Itnayr:

Greetings!!!

You have any idea where can I get hold of contact numbers or even email addresses of the DFF guys?

I’d like to check where they are and how may chapters do they have in Luzon I’m from Bacoor and my wife is from Rosario, Cavite and an active member of the Neocathecuminate.

This might be of big help… I’ll take your advise I’ll recommend the DFF guys if God permits to the Parish of my wife in Rosario, Cavite they might be interested and may integrate if possible, the CFD there in Rosario, Cavite Parish.

Blessings and peace!!!

In Christ,
