Catholic → katholikos meaning “universal”

Catholic–> katholikos is equall to Katholis in latin “Universam”. Here’s the proof : Luke 4:14(NOVUM TESTAMENTUM GRAECE) “kai feme ekelthen katholis tes perikorou peri autou.”
Luke. 4:14 (NOVUM TESTAMENTUM LATINE) “et fama exiit per universam regionem de illo.”

Catholic–>“Kataholos” or KATA HOLOS -Romans 1:8 (NOVUM TESTAMENTUM GRAECE) “He pistis humon KATangeketai en HOLO to kosmo…”

Catholic–>from compound verb which include a preposition “KATA” (throughout) and an adjective “HOLOS” (whole)

thats like those sects out there who argue that just because the name of their sect matches some titles in the bible, then the bible is referring to them. :rolleyes:

examples:

“church of christ”

“church of god”

“the old path”
