I created my own website and its www.geocities.com/kat_holos/rcc. For english-speaking people, sorry you’ll never understand it since its written in tagalog. I’m planning to further revise it. And by the way, I’m not a priest and I don’t even have a formal schooling in theology, but I’ve tried to study my catechism and I’ve read a lot of books about theology and apologetics and a lot of bible commentaries. Our bishops here are more concerned with politics than in guarding and defending our faith, so I took the initiative even if I’m not a theologian - in fact I’m just a 3rd year medical student. 😃
I wish I new more Taglog, I have been researching the Philippes for sometime and I am impressed with their level of faith. This is why I decided to do missionary work for the poor in the Philippines. Americans have a lot to learn from the Philippine people in regards to faith.

brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus may the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us.These cults are roaming around in our country and they are decieving many of our fellow catholics.the ADD of soriano, the INC of Manalo, the Jehova’s witnesses and the mormons of Joseph Smith. If you have observed these cults they have all the same goals which is to attack our church.they cannot spread their beliefs without smearing the church in order to justify their very existence. They are willing to tell a lies in order to decieve people.Well, base on my experiences in dealing with them however I would say that they were decieved themselves and are shown in their ignorance in using the bible properly.Sometimes I can’t help not to laugh when I am on my own then sorry for them because they hold a false belief.this had opened my eyes seeing these people who are propagating a false doctrine while they are convinced that what are they doing is the most sublime thing to do.I told to myself that if I will do nothing I will be judged for not telling them the truth. So we catholics will be accountable, we who know the truth yet we do nothing we will go with them to hell.

I will be sharing some arguments on how to crush their arguments and why they are false God bless us all catholics and God bless and heal our land Philippines, my home
In my Internet search for a Catholic missionary position I found that there are far fewer Catholic sites than other groups. I also found that the Catholic sites responded less than the other groups. I also found that the Catholic sites required so much more paperwork and other BS that is made it difficult to volunteer. I asked for no pay, I will pay my own expenses and still I get more responses from other groups than Catholics it is as if they do not want volunteers only my money.

hi james, im sorry to hear that,

you may want to have a look at the Jesuit Volunteers Philippines program. though they might have a lot of the paper work you mentioned.

jvpfi.org/volunteer_qualifications.shtml
jvpfi.org/contactus.shtml

You are correct though with regard to not having a lot of websites about missionary work. But this may be because the Philippines isn’t really fully immersed in technology yet, so the internet is not the medium of choice for now.

I hope you get more info about this, ill try to search for more missionary opportunities if you’re still interested.

A pinoy signing in! I was so engrossed reading the threads and different forum issues it’s only today I noticed there’s this site. Praise be Jesus! Let’s join faith & prayers and work in God’s vineyard and win the world for Christ! God bless us all!:signofcross:

Bro, good job! I just found out of your website and added it to my favorites.😃

God bless!!!

there was a magazine called “know the truth” which can be found in St. Paul’s here in the Philippines, its author was an indian priest named Fr. Paul who was here to study masterals in theology…i just don’t know why he stop publising more magazine or more editions of the magazine despite the fact that the 2 editions of the magazine were very popular in the Philippines. Iglesia Ni Cristo even spend a lot of air times in their TV programs trying to denounce these magazines. Maybe they stop producing it because Fr. Paul already went back to India… Anyway, i recommend every filipino catholic to grab a copy of that magazine whenever they see it…

Masaya ako at napadpad ako dito. Kasalukuyan akong bumibisita sa iba’t ibang non-catholics sites para makipgdiskusyon. At, yon ay Filipino din. Baka pwede nyo ako tulungan. Salamat mga kapatid! Eto ang link.

I particularly used the newsletters of Fr. Paul and even texted him!(But no reply:D ). The work of Fr. Paul was a stepping stone for me to search my faith since I admit before I was just a nominal catholic without doing any effort to unearth the treasures of my being a Catholic. After reading bunch of materials and other help tools about catholicism, I realized the work of Fr. Paul is not enough to stand a very sharp critique of other non-catholics scholars and I attest to that because I went into discussion with evangelicals and I learned that these non-catholics are indeed familiar with it and even gone deeper about the topic which is really challenging and brain bleeding, resulting for you to search more comprehensive information about catholicism. No doubt, other non-catholics who read the magazines are not surprised anymore about it because they knew it already, I tell you. This is not to underestimate Fr. Paul’s work, since its intention was just a basic approach of apologetics, but an encouragement for everybody that I hope you learned much deeper not only what you read in the newsletter o f Fr. Paul. We should combine efforts, by participating into discussions, sound research (lurking), and share it to everbody most especially non-catholics etc. in proclaiming the infallible Word of God to those people who are not aware of the genuine truth brought by the Catholic Church. Go bless. Thanks.

Hello MarcCatholic! Check out these links I’ve posted earlier:
These are the pictures from the recently concluded first National Catholic Apologetics convention. This was the first time that the biggest names of Catholic Apologetics Groups in the Philippines joined hands in an effort to promote Apologetics and Evangelization.

**MAY THE FILIPINOS IN THIS FORUM JOIN US IN PROMOTING APOLOGETICS IN OUR COUNTRY AND HELP US DEFEND OUR FAITH WHICH WAS HANDED OVER TO US BY JESUS THROUGH HIS APOSTLES AND THEIR SUCCESSORS.👍 **

THROUGH THE INTERCESSION OF OUR BLESSED MOTHER AND THE GUIDANCE OF JESUS, OUR LORD AND THE HOLY SPIRIT, FOR THE GLORY OF OUR FATHER. AMEN.

Hello fellow Filipinos ug mga Bisdak!

I just want to propose about starting a thread which would discuss anything about the churches established indigenously in the Philippines.

There have been many discussions about so many churches that are foreign in origin, how about discussing the Iglesia ni Cristo, the Aglipayan Church and all other indigenous churches …Let’s talk and share about their beliefs, our dealings with people who belong to these churches, and our friendship with them.

Here in my place, in Misamis Occidental, Philippines, the Aglipayan population competes with the local Catholic church…It is almost 60/40…One thing I notice is that almost all Aglipayan Churches in my province are located at the back of the Catholic church if not at its immediate vicinity. During Lenten Season, there would even be “procession traffic” as Catholic procession and IFI (Iglesia Filipina Independiente) procession converge at a single road.

Hoping to hear more from you guys! God bless!

Love to hear it. Inform us about your planned thread and many of us here will be willing to be a part of it. And for the discussion of the Aglipayan church, I am interested about it especially to what you have just shared abiut the procession-caused traffic in your place which would be a good topic to discuss. It seems to be appealing to me thinking that these separated brethrens are still upholding to the major traditions of the Catholic Church. I am not aware of it until this time you shared it with us. Anyway, I’m excited about your initiative of starting a thread which caters the indigenous churches that had sprung in the Philippines. God bless. 🙂

Hi everyone,

Just in case you haven’t heard, the Archbishop of Manila has issued a goofy implementation of the Pope’s Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum. You can read the full text at rcam.org/Homilies/2009/cardinal_rosales/archdiocesan_guidelines_on_the_celebration_of_the%20Mass_according_to_the_rite_of_the_roman_missal_published_in_1962.html

Any educated reading of the Motu Proprio will clearly tell you that such restrictions go against what the Holy Father wrote.

This will only cause more suffering to those of you in Manila devoted to the EF.
