The Moderator already required all Filipino posters to use English in the discussion for the benefit of those who could not speak Pilipino.🙂

I particularly used the newsletters of Fr. Paul and even texted him!(But no reply:D ). The work of Fr. Paul was a stepping stone for me to search my faith since I admit before I was just a nominal catholic without doing any effort to unearth the treasures of my being a Catholic. After reading bunch of materials and other help tools about catholicism, I realized the work of Fr. Paul is not enough to stand a very sharp critique of other non-catholics scholars and I attest to that because I went into discussion with evangelicals and I learned that these non-catholics are indeed familiar with it and even gone deeper about the topic which is really challenging and brain bleeding, resulting for you to search more comprehensive information about catholicism. No doubt, other non-catholics who read the magazines are not surprised anymore about it because they knew it already, I tell you. This is not to underestimate Fr. Paul’s work, since its intention was just a basic approach of apologetics, but an encouragement for everybody that I hope you learned much deeper not only what you read in the newsletter o f Fr. Paul. We should combine efforts, by participating into discussions, sound research (lurking), and share it to everbody most especially non-catholics etc. in proclaiming the infallible Word of God to those people who are not aware of the genuine truth brought by the Catholic Church. Go bless. Thanks.
Majority of all the info in the magazine was dedicated by Fr. Paul in countering Iglesia Ni Cristo. Maybe its because he sees Iglesia Ni Cristo the largest commercial corporation(INC is not even a denomination, it is a commercial corporation registered in Securites and Exchange Commision) which draws Catholics away from the true Church of Christ.

Though we realize that most Filipino people are bi-lingual (at least), the rest of us are not and we need to benefit from your posts as well.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

I really don’t get it. Kindly explain. I have read it long before but I just ignored because I really don’t get it and in fact there are no changes to my service at the church that’s why I was not interested about it. What was it all about? I am not really well-read about this. Thanks. 🙂

Hello MarcCatholic! Check out these links I’ve posted earlier:

These are the pictures from the recently concluded first National Catholic Apologetics convention. This was the first time that the biggest names of Catholic Apologetics Groups in the Philippines joined hands in an effort to promote Apologetics and Evangelization.

**MAY THE FILIPINOS IN THIS FORUM JOIN US IN PROMOTING APOLOGETICS IN OUR COUNTRY AND HELP US DEFEND OUR FAITH WHICH WAS HANDED OVER TO US BY JESUS THROUGH HIS APOSTLES AND THEIR SUCCESSORS.👍 **

THROUGH THE INTERCESSION OF OUR BLESSED MOTHER AND THE GUIDANCE OF JESUS, OUR LORD AND THE HOLY SPIRIT, FOR THE GLORY OF OUR FATHER. AMEN.
Thanks. I’ve already been visiting the site and fortunately they have been already debating with Evangelical apologists at the latter’s site wherein I’ve also participated in the forum. Check this link.

Anyway, thanks for the info. Hoping for more Filipino Catholic sites to know. And, for Catholic Answers to have a decent dialogue with the Filipino non-catholic apologetics ministry in the web.

More power! God bless! 👍

Noted sir. 🙂

Just an added info, I know 3 languages deeply in my heart. I practiced these three everyday. (Not including some units in Spanish, German, French and Italian). 😃

We have a dialect in our country and I knew one of them. Just sharing. God bless you Mike! Hope to hear also from you. 👍

  • “To avoid problems in the future, the Iglesia ni Cristo was officially registered as a corporation sole with Felix Manalo as executive minister on July 27, 1914. In 1919, Felix Manalo went to America and attended classes in a non-sectarian institution, the Pacific School of Religion in California to enrich further his knowledge of the Bible.”*

Thanks for the link, but I need the link from SEC that Felix Manalo registered his Church as a Corporation Sole.

Thanks in advance, hope you can give me, for the reason that I’m using it for my reference.

The Philippine SEC was establsihed only on 26 Oct 1936 and started its operations only on 11 Nov 1936. INC was founded on July 27, 1914. INC existed ahead of the SEC.

INC was originally registered in the Bureau of Commerce, Division of Archives and not in SEC.

I seem to recall scanned copies of those pages of registration floating up on a forum somewhere. It could have been pinoyexchange.

Hello stewart,

Thanks for the info. Can you provide any copy regarding the establishment of INC in BCDA. Pero, Felix Manalo also registered his cult sa SEC. so, I need any copy of this or link for my reference. We had our thread in pinoy exchange forum. Hope you will provide me, kahit isulat mo lang dito with reference.

Thanks,

Based from my few-days stint with that site, I found out that the administrator of that site is biased and unfair against Catholic posters. Or maybe it was not an administrator that I encountered, maybe it was just another poster with higher privileges in that forum. But the fact remains that my impression of that forum is that it is unreasonably biased against Catholic posters.

hi all…i know this is off topic but i just wanted to say that my folks lived on negros island for eight years…i visited the country(bacolod city) and i always thought it was beautiful…i also love pancit and lumpia…regards…fd…👍

Hi everyone!

I have a question, which I want to get comments of my “kababayans” (countrymen).

"Do you think it is funny that at a time when we elected “BUHAY” (translation “LIFE”)
as the top party-list representative in Congress in the last elections (that is, it got the highest number of voters who agreed for the priciples it stood for (pro-LIFE), we are now at the verge of having an anti-LIFE Reproductive Health Bill about to be approved?"

You see, I am curious how these party list representatives that we voted for are fighting for the principles that was their banner in the last election. Remember, during the past election, BUHAY surprised everyone by garnering the highest votes over and above the traditional “Women’s group” and other groups that were usually pro-Choice. Yet, it is at this time that we are about to have this anti-Life bill foisted on us. Its really curious…:o

The reproductive health bill is still being debated. But you know, the present Philippine congress is a congress of numbers and not necessarily a congress of principles. Feed them always with “bundles” and they would become your stamping pad.

It is sad. :sad_yes:

The Senate’s version of the Reproductive Health Bill has already been passed. It is only the House version that is being debated now. Although the signs are not promising with the bishops refusing to show up in any more talks with the congressmen as the Catholic Church’s opinion are just being “noted”, giving some the impression that such talks are just a formality. Once this has passed Congress, it will only take the signature of our President to sign it to law.

As a newly graduate Nursing student I am concerned about Section 21A of this proposed bill which will punish healthcare professsionals who will refuse to teach promote and disseminate information on various artificial contraception. With many Catholic medical schools also being pro-Life, do they plan to punish these schools too?

There is also the problem of the bill mandating that children Grade 5 and above will be taught by the state on these matters. This will remove the right of parents to teach their children on what they think is moral and responsible sexuality.

For example, I had a pro-choice professor who taught us that certain artificial contaception causes the fertilized ovum not to be implanted (in Catholic thinking, this is already abortion). She also said that a certain contracption can affect the child of a mother who takes it. She also asked the class what will we do if we get pregnant despite having an IUD implanted in us. At least she was willing to tell us that such things can happen.

We had another teacher (Teacher #2) who said that it was completely safe without explaining further on possible consequences.

What if children end up getting a teacher like Teacher #2?

I pray that this bill never be approved by Congress as it encroaches on many people’s rights.
