Too bad your conversion story is in Cebuano. I’d love to hear it in either English or Tagalog.
A cult is usually formed around the personality of the founder or head. Pastor A. Quibuloy’s group could be rightly called a cult, esp. since his teachings promote the idea that he is God’s son and that the new Jerusalem is in Davao. INC says that Christ is just a man and that Manalo is an angel. Over the years, the teachings evolved such that less and less of the founder’s original concepts are promoted esp. since he is no longer alive. INC was able to lend itself the generic iglesia or church and even quotes literally from the KJV even as most of its teachings are expounded on their magazine Pasugo. These are known to most Catholics and maybe as a corporation sole, it was able to detach itself from the person of Manalo and could say, that today, it is not a cult.speaking of cults, what does cult mean? what does it take for a group to be called a “cult”? Why is Iglesia ni Cristo called a cult? the Catholic church, not? Just asking anyway…
Hi gookykookypigDo you know guys that I am a former Iglesia ni Cristo? Check my conversion story:

I don’t think INC is a cult according to what cult means to the majority, but I think INC is a corporation, a private business.
I’ve heard that the names of the seven angels are Judiel, Michael, Rafael, Oriel, Barrachel, Gabriel and Ziltiel.A cult is usually formed around the personality of the founder or head. Pastor A. In terms of accolade and fame, Manny Paquiao is just second to Felix Manalo because he was an angel since 1914. But Pastor A. Quibuloy is above them all because he is the son of God.I’ve heard that the names of the seven angels are Judiel, Michael, Rafael, Oriel, Barrachel, Gabriel and Ziltiel.
Felix Manalo is an angel!? That’s a world record!
Hurray!!! Another Filipino! So, not only in the world of Boxing but also in the Angelic World!!! Hurray!!!![]()
You must join the friendster group, “100% KATOLIKONG PINOY!” if you really want to find outHi gookykookypig
why did you decided to leave INC?
lolrotf. hopefully manny p. won’t get any such ridiculous spiritual ideas, other than a political wannabe. But seriously, there will not be an end to cults for as long as people see success crowns their heads. I mean look at their impressive cathedrals, no wonder they’re still around since 1914! Jesus said “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming I am he… do not follow them” (Lk 21:8).In terms of accolade and fame, Manny Paquiao is just second to Felix Manalo because he was an angel since 1914. The INC was founded in 1914 somewhere in Manila. Most of their Pastors and subordinates are well-versed with regard to their teaching in the Bible, for they are also Bible based denom like the others. It spreads out in Manila area and its vicinity until it reached the Visayas regions as well as some parts of Mindanao. They were just lucky that people during those times do not know about the Bible and there were no teaching of Apologetics before. Even the well educated Catholics cannot outsmart their preachers in terms of biblical knowhow. That is one of the reasons why they are still alive and kicking until at present.lolrotf. hopefully manny p. won’t get any such ridiculous spiritual ideas, other than a political wannabe. The word “cult “ has many meanings in dictionary. Both the INC and the Catholic Church fall on one of those meanings. So in order not to mislead others, it would be appropriate to say that their own “private interpretation of the bible “ made them different and distinct from other Christian religions.yes but how do I prove a member of a cult that his/her denomination is a cult? I mean, what do I have to say for him/her to be convinced?
well that means they are making Manalo’s position **higher than **God(Jesus) himself! The word “cult “ has many meanings in dictionary. Jesus Christ for them is just a mere human being and Felix Manalo was the angel basing Isaiah 46: 11 ( which actually refers to King Ciro of Persia ).![]()
I quoted for you an excerpt from a source which concurs to your interpretation of the little horn in Daniel chapter 7.Who am I to give remarks on the works of others! That is part of their job being Theologians, Exegetes or what have they. And I am not contesting their wisdom with regard to this matter. Commentaries on the Bible can also benefit us to learn things which are alien to us or we don’t have the knowledge about, but not necessarily to adhere to everything the author was writing about. I have also high respect to these kind of people because it’s not easy if you are on their shoes doing their kind of works.
My preferred interpretation of the little horn in Daniel chapter 7 could be unwelcome to Theologians and Exegetes but still I have that strong feeling that I could be right, only God knows when He would let somebody to give important emphasis on this matter to put on more weights of expounding it.
That’s great and thank you!I quoted for you an excerpt from a source which concurs to your interpretation of the little horn in Daniel chapter 7.
Note brothers that the Bible advocates double-fulfillment, or triple if you won’t mind. Just as the “Immanuel” of Isaiah 7:14 fulfills the contemporary leader in the Major Prophets’ time, it also refers to Jesus. Take note also that in that verse, the "young woman: is used (almah) and not the “virgin” of Matthew. But the very essence of the “Immanuel” (God with us) is retained.
Also, we all agree that the Beast in the Apocalypse points to Nero. Yet we also believe that it points to another one, too, in the distant (or near) future. That’s double-fulfillment.
In the case of that “horn, a little one”, it can be both Antiochus Epiphanes or Titus whomever you prefer. They have their own notoriety which deserves that horn. The Bible isn’t literal of anything especially when it comes to apocalyptic symbolism. The “morning star” of the Revelation is Christ, clearly, but what about the “Day Star” of Isaiah, which signifies Satan? They have the same etymological renderings in the original dialects, too.
So stop that and just stick on what you believe in. As for me, I’ll just interpret any biblical prophecies or forebodings in the way Christ wanted us to do: to interpret and KNOW it when it actually COMES.
“So also, when you see all these things, you** know** that he is near, at the very gates.”
(Matthew 24:33)

Bro. Francis, I think there’s nothing wrong with that if youy are really a Roman Catholic by heart because it does not insinuate any other sort of christian religion in order for anyone who happens to read our posts to think we were impostors.Once again I’ll quote what I have said:
