“The president is not pro-abortion, the president is pro-choice. I think they are two very different things.” This is a mantra we often hear from Catholics who support pro-abortion politicians, but this time they were uttered in support of President Obama. The words came from Sr. Anita Baird, the founding director of the Office of Racial Justice at the Archdiocese of Chicago.

They aren’t two different things.

If you are truly against abortion, you wouldn’t allow it.

**Just another well meaning progressive Catholic duped by a politician!

Unfortunately, these slick politicians know exactly how to divert attention away from their actions & focus naive people on their “inspiring rhetoric” by using Catholic agencies like Chicago’s Archdiocese & Institutions like Notre Dame, to jump on the bandwagon of praise, thus stealing undeserved credibility & garnering improper support.

Sancta maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

Yes, it’s sort of like how weeds can grow up on your garden, kinda’ mimicking the actual wanted plants. Satan tries to get a toe hold in anything represented as Catholic as a form of camoflage. Sr. Anita is unknown to me, but I will be looking into this a little further. She is totally misguided, as was Pelosi, Biden et al.

Did anybody notice that this is the same office that is having the Cardinal give the infamous Father Pfleger his lifetime achievement award for “Racial Justice.” (CAF ThreadOriginal Article)

Coincidence?

Inquiring minds want to know

This is an insulting, definitional game played by liberals. Presumably it is to give Obama supporters cover to ignore his clear position on abortion as shown in every action he has ever taken on it. He is pro the choice for abortion (i.e. pro-abortion), widely available and with as few restrictions as possible.

The only way in which is is not pro-abortion may be for himself. If he gets pregnant, he does not (currently) plan to seek an abortion.

Did you expect a progressive nun to say anything different? It’s expected by now.

What if someone is truly against the eating of meat? I was a vegetarian for a long time–thankfully a time that is behind me, thank bacon–but I never wanted to make the production of animals for slaughter illegal. I disagree with you in that one can be against something but still allow it (and want it to be allowed). An example I gave elsewhere is the activities of the Westboro Baptist Church–they are beyond repugnant and are quite frankly horrifying, homophobic, anti-American and revolting–I will, however, defend Fred Phelps’s right to free speech with my dying breath.
