Hi everyone,
I am a Protestant who is hosting a Catholic exchange student this year from Brazil. It is apparent that his family is more “culturally” Catholic than devout as he only went no more than once a month back home. I was able to get him plugged in with my Catholic family here- my aunt and uncle pick him up every Sunday morning for Mass- and he is starting to embrace it more and more. We have a lot of conversations. Since I believe that Christ is found in “both camps,” I want to encourage him to bloom where he is planted and am not planting any seeds to try to get him to “convert” to my denomination. He doesn’t have a Bible, though, and I know how to get one in Portuguese, but it isn’t Catholic and I’m at a loss trying to find anything that isn’t a huge Catholic “family” bible for $100 on the net.
Any Portuguese-speaking Catholics out there?
