Catholic Bishop Blasts Patrick Kennedy on Abortion After Mtg Postponed

Washington, DC – Bishop Thomas Tobin has postponed his scheduled meeting with Congressman Patrick Kennedy – planned after Kennedy claimed the Catholic Church is not pro-life. Kennedy said that in an interview last week and was quickly rebuked by the bishop, who has issued a new scathing letter.

Actually, It was Mr. Kennedy who apperantly postponed the meeting.

IMHO, The Bishop is correct.
Mr Kennedy, is Catholic only in one way…by association.

Finally, there’s a bishop willing to stand up to the Kennedy’s. Here’s hoping more of them will stand up and be heard. Too many people believe in cafeteria catholicism.

Too many people believe in cafeteria Catholicism.

I have posted this before, but this quote hits the nail on the head. Lets just call the cafeteria Catholics by the proper name that was used in years gone by. They were called heretics. To be truly Catholic, one must believe all that the Catholic Church believes and teaches.
