Catholic Bishops Leave Coalition Group Backing Pro-Abortion Elena Kagan

Washington, DC – The nation’s Catholic bishops have left a coalition of organizations that recently endorsed the Supreme Court nomination of pro-abortion Solicitor General Elena Kagan. The Coalition for Constitutional Values is running a television and Internet commercial praising President Barack Obama’s selection.

I absolutely agree and entusiastically support the Bishop’s decision. As I am a vocal critic of our clergy, especially Bishop’s when I percieve them as wrong, personal integrity requires my applause in this case. Fidelity to Christ in all things is a beautiful thing to see.

I would have hoped any organizations that the Church donated to or belonged to would have been thoroughly investigated as to moral and ethical background.
I full support our Bishops in their decision.

Prayer for our Pope, our Bishops:
Dear Lord, Give to them a spirit of courage and right judgement, a spirit of knowledge and love. By governing with fidelity those intrusted to their care, build your Church into a sacrament of unity, and love.

Prayer for our Priests:
Dear Lord, give them added grace to be Holy, and Faithful, and Obedient to all the teachings of the Church. We need Holy Priests.

Maybe my and other’s refusal to contribute to the DSF following the health care disaster is finally getting noticed.

This is great news. It is so discouraging when we condone through inaction those, inside or outside of the Church, who act against Church teaching.

Hear, hear, but I can’t allow this to be all sunshine and roses. Having said that, it is too bad more of the laity haven’t been taught what is good and what is bad.
