Just wondering if there are any good blogs to follow and if any one can suggest where to join if I want to start one?

Also, what are peoples opinion on blogs? Do you feel like they give out too much information on individual’s lives?

Thanks!

Hi!

There are lots of great Carholic blogs out there by Priests, religious, and lay people. Pathos at word press is a good place to start. The Pulpit offers a daily run down of the best in Catholic blogging. St. Blog’s has a pretty good list. Or you can read mine! www.postabortionwalk.blogspot.com!

Whispers in the Loggia is penned by Rocco Palmo, who is well-connected and often presents “inside information.” US newspapers have been known to cite the blog as a source.

The Hermeneutic of Continuity is a blog written by an English priest of a traditionalist bent. It often has great photos. And provides an inside look at places many people will never see, such as the Carthusian monastery in Parkminster.

Being in the US, I enjoy seeing what life is like on the other side of the Atlantic. 🙂

Simcha Fisher’s, which is also carried by NCRegister, Jenn Fulwiler, same place, Mark Shea, same place - - all have links to their main blogs from their posts at National Catholic Register.

Yes, the National Catholic Register blogs are excellent. Just go to ncregister.com/, and look at “Voices from the Blogs” on the right-hand side of the page.

I’m starting to notice a trend here…(mothers/wives, fathers/husbands) are there many blogs by or about single Catholics?

For example, I took a look over at Catholic Sistas (looks great, by the way!), but is it only for wives and mothers, or are there just that few or no single women interested in contributing?

badcatholic is AWESOME. I can’t believe the wisdom beyond the author’s years. Can’t wait until he comes back from Lent!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Simcha Fisher. A hilarious, extremely intelligent, joyful, mother of nine, faithful Catholic author. Basically someone that feminists want you to believe doesn’t exist.

I’m not really sure…badcatholic is single, well, he has a girlfriend, but he’s only 18.

I guess I’m just getting the impression that a lot of Catholics don’t start blogging about interpersonal relationships until after they get married. Which is weird, because there are a lot of non-Catholic columns and blogs about dating and courtship.
