Catholic Books for Caregivers?

Does anyone know of one? My husband was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease in March. I know there is a lot of caregiving in my future. I’d like to read a book that would help me deal with the trials and tribulations that will come along with this.

My husband has a traumatic brain injury with chronic traumatic encephalopathy. This disease is similar to Alzheimer’s and my husband has moderate dementia.

I am reading a variety of books just to keep my mind active. My friend Mother Celeste Marie of the Poor Sisters of Saint Clare encouraged me to read to keep my mind active and to not become completely enveloped in my husband’s world.

I do have a small charming book that I keep at my desk and read frequently. It’s called “I Just Can’t Take It Anymore!” Encouragement When Life Gets You Down by Anthony DeStefano. Short sentences and lovely photos of children highlight this book and make it a staple for me when I am feeling down.

I also encourage you to read the forums here and pray for the prayer requests. This keeps you open and connected to the outside world.

Over here we have a non existent publication entitled your on your own dot com. We have,however been allocated a Parkinson Nurse,neither of us can understand why. We now have a generation of nurses in this country who study at the School of Nursing of the Bleeding Obvious.We have now decide what both of us will do at a mutually agreed moment
