Emmaus is a really wonderful shop – I can’t wait til the new store opens!! :bounce:

!
Do you live near Mason? Yes, Emmaus is a great place! We are all very busy getting the new store open. It wil be right at 42 and Kings Mills Road.

Funny…What you did at Barnes and Nobles. Did you go to the one on Field’s Ertle? There is going to be a new one on Mason Mongomery Road. I hope that one will sell cd’s…The one on Field’s Ertle does not.

The new store will open on August 2nd…Hope to see you there!

It’s very interesting, CD4, that I have St. Teresa of Avila’s prayer card on my cube wall… 👍

I went to the B & N in the Dayton area (live there, work in Sycamore Twp.), but that doesn’t mean that the “masked book switcher” won’t strike at the Fields Ertle store or one near you…!

:clapping: Way to go at the bookstore! Look out Field’s Ertle!

**St. Teresa of Avila is my favorite saint. I have the saying that’s on my signature on a card that stands on my computer. Love it. **

St. T. was a brilliant, and forward thinking woman. Her writings are so deep! Have you read any? I discovered her years ago, when I was interested in becoming a Secular Carmalite. I am no longer a part of that group (too far to go for meetings), but I still love the Carmelite saints…

I haven’t read any of her yet, but as I said somewhere else on the forum, I’m still a baby Catholic (just came in this past Easter). But I do have access to a very extensive private library, so I may have to browse soon. It’ll also give me an excuse to shop more at Emmaus!! Are there any particularly riveting titles you’d suggest?

**What kinds of books are you looking for? Anything by St. T. is good…I especially like her “Interior Castle” and “The Way of Perfection”. Also, since you are new, you would love all the “convert stories”…Casey carries all the Surprised by Truth" books, as well as lot of other similar things. Anything by Scott Hahn is good, too. **

I have a pretty good library, too. Only God and I know how much money I spent on books and CD’s while I worked at Emmaus .:o You can guess where most of my paycheck went…

**I have been a Catholic going on twenty years, now, and I find that I learn something new about the faith every day…I never get tired of reading about it…hence all the books. 🙂 **

**Looking forward to meeting you when the bookstore re-opens August 2nd…There will be lots of new things, because we are going to the Cathoic Market Network to buy for it next week. The trade show is in Somerset, New Jersey, and I am looking forward to doing some serious shopping while Casey buys for the store! **

I don’t live near any Catholic bookstores either. I get all my material online thru many different sites. Here’s a few:

ewtn.com
catholic.com
BibleChristianSociety.com
St. Joseph radio’s site
Scott Hahn’s site

If you will listen to EWTN radio from the airwaves or online or shortwave you can find out about all kinds of different sites for good Catholic material

Thanks for all the great sites. I am so lucky to live near a very good Catholic bookstore. The owner is one of my best friends. She carries all the good stuff…And, she does special orders, so if there is anything I (or anyone else) wants and it isn’t in the store, she will just order it…Very convenient.

Try Leaflet Missal (I believe they are in Minnesota?). Their online site is www.leafletonline.com. Their 800 number is on the website, you can call and get their catalogs. They have lots of items.
Yes, I go to their actual store in St. Paul, MN about once a month. They’ve got all sorts of hardcore Catholic stuff! Cool place to visit.

:o Ahem Shameless self-promotion here…

If ever anyone is in the Ruidoso, New Mexico area, PLEASE visit Immaculate Heart of Mary Books and Gifts. Just about THE premier Catholic store in south central NM (heck, we have customers from the Texas panhandle for that matter!)

Say hi to Mike and Pete (Pete’s the lovely lady) my in-laws or to their kids, Michael and Cynthia (my sibling-in-laws) or you might see me… and you can say “hi!”, too!

Blue"my realworld name is Amy!"Rose:tiphat:

I know that my response is not exactly what you are looking for but our hosts for this forum, Catholic Answers, offer a great variety of books, resources etc. also, you can go to the EWTN website and go to the Catalog section and they also have many items, books, sacramentals etc.

I hope I did not repeat anyone else…I did not read all of the responses.

God Bless

Carl
