Radnor, PA – Cabrini College, a Catholic educational institute, is drawing guffaws from pro-life advocates upset that it recently bestowed an award on pro-abortion journalist Cokie Roberts. The school honored Roberts with its Ivy Young Willis Award for outstanding contributions in public affairs.

I don’t think “drawing guffaws” is the proper phrasing here.

But I don’t understand why Catholic universities so often do this sort of thing–give awards to outspoken pro-abortion figures. It doesn’t matter that they honor Catholic pro-abortionists; in fact, that makes it worse.
 
True Catholics need to draw a line in the sand; if you are pro-abortion you are not Catholic and you are not Christian. Cokie Roberts is a fraud and should stop identifying herself as a Catholic. What is truly appalling, however, is that so-called Catholic institutions should fet such an ugly soul with an award. They too should stop calling themselves Catholic.
