Before you donate, ask where the money is going. Instead of money put a note in the collection basket saying something like, “I will donate when I am certain my money isn’t going to organizations such as ACORN.” I think if enough of us do this, they will get the message.
Isn’t it funny the clergy is liable for actions only to those within their own club? We, the laity, never know what is going on til it’s too late.
I guess it started with good old Thomas a Becket and Henry the VIII. Thomas is now a Saint. Go figure.
