Many, like Hoby Lobby and the Little Sisters of the Poor never offered it.It should note the employers choice- not the Govts
I’ve taught in a catholic school for 27 years and since the beginning, there has always been an additional rider on my insurance coverage that expressly disallows payment for birth control (as opposed to hormone drugs). It used to be easier to have your doctor say you needed the BC for “health” reasons and not as birth control but that became more difficult (but not impossible) several years ago when Archbishop Burke was in charge. I always had no issue with my employer refusing to cover this and think it should be their choice. If I was employed by a company that didn’t approve of blood transfusions, it would be ok with me. I’d never expect a Jewish company to directly provide my bacon. In all so these cases, once I get my paycheck, I can pay for my own BC, my own blood transfusion and most definitely, my own bacon. I have no “right” to any of these in the sense that someone else must provide them for me.

You can not opt out of providing contraception and abortificant coverage unless you are a religious institution. .Even then you have to arrange for them to get the coverage through a third party.

I don’t think that’s true. Hobby Lobby’s objection is with abortion, not contraception. They have a store in MA and are not a church run organization so they must have been covering it for years now.

They object to abortificants which are required under the contraception mandate.

Last time I checked the Illinois exchanges, those plans that wouldn’t cover abortions also included abortifacients.
