Im thinking about going to a Charismatic Prayer Meeting at a local catholic church this weekend…Would this be similar to Protestant/Pentecostal Prayer Meetings I’ve been to ? As in singing, taking prayer requests, then everyone praying at the same time but individually…

Yep, laying on of hands, falling out in the Spirit, speaking in tongues, etc.
 
Exactly right. The last such event I attended, the Knights of Columbus had two men standing behind each person receiving the blessing, in case they collapsed.
