There was a very active Catholic charismatic prayer group in my city 20 years ago. Now that I have a CD player, I would very greatly appreciate being able to listen to the songs we used to sing. I wonder if anyone could recommend a good CD or two to buy?

Can you list some of the songs? If the group you were in is anything like many Charismatic groups, the songs can be found on the popular **WOW Worship series of CDs **(there are a lot out now – they release a new set every year).

Try Millenium III recorded at Stuebenville conferences. Volume 2 is here. There are about 4 - 5 volumes out now plus a “best of” (see my first link).

It is hard to remember the titles of the songs from years ago, but some of them were “Seek Ye First,” “Spirit of the Living God,” “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus,” and “How Great Is Our God.” However, I would be happy if there is a CD or two with just some of the songs we used to sing on it. I greatly appreciate the replies I have gotten already.

If you are looking for Catholic artists on CD check out www.spiritandsong.com You can listen to clips of various songs and see if you like the artists. They have some older songs and some original ones. They also have blogs so that you can read about the ministry work each of them is doing with their music.

Also here is a site that offers some older Catholic music also.

Wait, so…These are Gregorian Chants, or…?
I have never heard chant characterized as charismatic. I have also never heard of it being sung at a charismatic group. Are you trying to be amusing or are you seriously confused? Remember that we cannot see your facial expressions or hear inflections in a written format.

Here’s another one you might try:
