I am not sure if this is the right place to post this. So if it isn’t please let me know where.

Anyways, Can anyone help me find proof of Catholic Charities contributing to Planned Parenthood and homosexuality. I heard right now in Boston that Catholic Charities got caught adopting babies out to same sex couples.
I want and need articles or whatever is trustworthy sources.
Thanks!

Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Boston stopped working with adoptions more than a year ago. In a statement released by Cardinal Sean, he said that the laws of the Commonwealth, regarding adoption by same-sex couples, were in conflict with Catholic moral teaching. Therefore, Catholic Charities could no longer work with the Commonwealth and was closing its adoption services.

I cannot recall the date of this statement. But you can find it on www.cardinalseansblog.org . You may have to do a search on that site.

All I could find on “Catholic Charities”

catholic.net/index.php?option=dedestaca&id=2295&grupo=Think%20%20Learn&canal=Education

Caritas Internationalis is the one you want to look into: at least as far as funding going towards abortion, and aiding anti-catholic groupings throughout the world. Their Secretary General personally denied it to me, but her story was contradictory.

Catholic Charities, to my knowledge, is part of Caritas: but again, those I can think of associate with Caritas, or the word Caritas, and not particularly with the American Umbrella “Catholic Charities”, I think it was the local Caritas in Boston? Which would likely fall under “Catholic Charities”:

I know of at least one situation:

Caritas Christi: and Planned Parenthood etc:

Links to multiple credible sources on the situation!

Thank you so very much for your help. I knew that things have and are going on with Catholic Charities and I mentioned it to my Catholic group and one lady animately defended Catholic Charities, but I knew she was wrong.
My dearest friend, was brought up conservative Catholic and her mother told her to always know what is going on in the church. So you can defend your faith. And she often read articles all her live her mom would leave out to read. My friend is in her 40-s now and this has been going on since she could read.
I personally have had dealings with Catholic Charities in FL and OK. I live in TX now.
The Catholic Charities in OK caused me great loss and sadness, after many promises of help. So, the other day I got a big postcard from Catholic Charities for donations. And this is what got me thinking about CC and then this woman who defended them.
My dear friend said over the yrs she has learned that many who defend CC and won’t accept the wrong doing are those who have donated very generously over years and therefore, do not want to see the truth.
I love my Church and I am not out to Bash it or groups that truely are God based. But when some organization is acting no different then pagans and in many cases greedy, then I feel like turning their tables over in front of the church so to speak.
If anyone has ideas for me or is will to help me get the truth known about CC I would grately appreciate it. ALso, to continue showing me where to look is a huge help.
It would be a great service to our church and everyday people if the bad apples in CC can be weeded out.
I have the personality that is strong and not a quiter. Born this way…so blame God!!LOL
I want to do what I can. If it ends up all I can do is pray, then I will pray. But I am praying God leds me to more then this.
Thank you everyone for your help. You have shown me some things I did not know. It is much help.
God Bless you,
Spirit

Glad to help. Just ask for specifics. It is not only Catholic Charities which has become problematic, but much of the Catholic charitable business itself. Saint Vincent De Paul still seems the best place for Catholic money;)!

Catholic Charities is a separate entity from Caritas International.
CC runs ususally as a separate entity in each diocese as well.
You would be better served by researching CC in your own diocese before making any decisions.

rules of this forum require a link to a bona fide news story, so unless you can provide one that backs up the allegations made, it would be best to cease getting so hysterical on evidence of hearsay

To my knowledge, it is one of three US entities, which fall under Caritas Internationalis.

The story is and was valid. The reason i cited Caritas: is that the member of Catholic Charities: in question, is better found under a reference to its parent’s parent organization. As I interviewed their director general personally, I determined to note such. As it is, there are too many cover ups in this area. The Poster has a very valid concern: attempting to discredit her based on categorization of the thread: would further discredit those you plan to justify. Catholic Answer Forums: is not finicky, as you would have us believe. It aims at free speech as far as it is justifiable and valid!

Thank you very much for your support and honesty, Marc Aupiais.
I would like Catholic Charities to stop being covered up and to see action, way over due, to clean up an organization that, like in Oklahoma’s first page on their purpose as Catholic Charities, is completely not how I was dealt with. I am one of the victims of CC.
I know there are good people that work at Catholic Charities too, however, the ones that are in higher postions,at least from my personal experience are the ones who can give a great speech and do not walk their talk.

I do not know where to begin. But I would like to. I would like to see this Charity become what it was originally meant to be.

Thanks again Marc Aupiais

Absolute pleasure. I do hope they change, it is sad when our own people can’t always be trusted to use our money as one would expect. Keep researching on this and other such things. By transparency, and accountability, we prevent problems. The Sexual Abuse issue in many dioceses, surely began with smaller cover-ups. We must fight issues in the church when small. Checks and Balances are quite vital, if not laity checks. Keep questioning and being honest. Absolute pleasure. Marc

Thank you Marc Aupiais,

I do plan to continue looking into this. I actually got motivated when I came across people who did not want to believe these things were going on and got so angry at me as if I was a bad Catholic for wanting the truth and to try to do something, even small, about it.
God Bless you,

You as well. When the children of God raise issues, it is better, than if those outside found it out and had shown it up, without us first noting it. Truth is the basis of all that is Catholic. Seeking truth, seeking justice, and for things to be …not false images, but what they are to the depths, is true and good. This is why that which is false, but appears to be good, must always be shown up as what it is: for a lie, always comes out: and always: does truth emerge. It is better for us to investigate, and to fight for truth within, than for those outside to attack us all: for what a few did. Then we too would be guilty, of letting the deeds of darkness be unnoticed, and the way to salvation be defamed. It is not simply a desire, but a divine task: to ensure that that which is done in God’s name, reflects his nature: is such not of the first commandment.

I ask God to bless you also, and Saint Philomena, who refused to fall to evil.
Yet, in seeking truth, you bless yourself. Marc

" all of the faithful should be insisting that the errors be corrected. There is no doubt the Church has suffered spiritual losses, in this ongoing battle. And in this war, prayer coupled with Truth are paramount.

Gather hard facts and go to your pastor and local Bishop. Ask the difficult questions. Father Corapi says very firmly that when one knows things are being done that are against Catholic doctrine, we must stand fast and with a spirit of humility, insist on rectification. All these fissures allow Satan’s smoke to befoul our Holy Church.

Remember, the Church is inside of us and external also. We are its living body. Pray for courage, and ask your friend who has known of this for so many years to join you."

This is a quote from someone I know. I have many chronic illnesses and mostly bedridden. Instead of this being a deterant it gives me the time, most of the time, to look into Catholic Charities. I have been very ill the past few days, therefore, I have not posted. It might take me some time because of being sick, BUT I am not a quiter. I live in TX and this might be the best place to start. Frankly, I have lived in 3 other states and everyone of the 3 had issues. So, let’s see what TX in the Houston area has!
Any help is much appreciated.

Two reasons I have not posted for a time is because I do not want to cross the line where to be a sin to talk bad about Our Church to the point it is immoral. This is a fine line and I know that what has been said so far is within good guidelines No one is bashing CC or other charities, we just want justice. Remember, Jesus turned over the tables in the Synogue once. It is holy anger to be angry over ungodly behavior.
Secondly, many have warned me about caf and to be careful or they will take measures.
I do not mean to offend anybody at anytime. I have always been blessed with the gift of truth and sometimes it bring about divisions among people, but Jesus said it would.
So, I think best we do this work on our own and with guidance from our priests and Bishop.
Thank you,Spirit
