Hi everyone,

Just purely out of interest: what is your favorite thing about being a Catholic? Also, what, for you, is the hardest thing about being Catholic today?

Favorite thing: authenticity and fullness of faith

Toughest: having to field pointed questions re: abuses of minors.

Favorite thing: Having a spiritual life that includes not only the real presence of Jesus going straight back to the source, but also Mary and all the saints. I love Mary and the saints, they are like my own adopted family.

Hardest thing: Dealing with (many, not all) other Catholics.

Favorite thing - its not universal, but there are beautiful inspiring liturgies available, including the Latin Mass and the Ordinariate Use. There are some beautiful traditions such as Gregorian Chant. There are some beautiful churches. These all help to raise the senses to the divine and glorify God.

Hardest thing - thousands of doctrines and dogmas.

Favorite: In addition to the Most Blessed Trinity - the richness & beauty of the Church (fullness of faith, saints like Thomas Aquinas, Augustine, art, history, etc)

Hardest thing in today’s world: Chastity

Favorite: The beautiful liturgies.
Hardest: The people who fancy themselves experts on liturgy.

Pretty much agree. HATE church politics. Loooove being able to ask Mary and the saints for help.

God is so good.
