Catholic Christian Outreach Rise Up conference... Can I go?

I don’t know if anyone has ever heard of this you can read more on their website

I am really excited to go and nervous at the same time because I am going by myself and I am still only in RCIA and I don’t want to intrude… I really want to learn more and meet people around my age and make new friends with similar views to mine. At the same time though is a catechumen welcome to these events? I bought my ticket already but now I am having second thoughts…
 
Never heard of that conference, but if the priest thinks it’s a good program go.
Nothing about Catholicism equates to a :secret society".
Just be wise about the things you go to and invest your time in. If it’s approves by your Diocese, then there’s no “intrusion”.
 
If you scroll down the home page, all of their agendas appear to be 100% Catholic. Ask your Priest, but there should be no problem with it at all.

I actually learned about it from my school’s Catholic Student Association. The chaplin gave the information to all the students and since I was going back to that town anyways for Christmas break I figured it would be a good idea to go because I wouldn’t have to spend any money on hotel. As far as I know its open to Catholic university students all around the country but there was no information saying that non catholics or people who are converting can’t go.

I do have RCIA tomorrow and so I will also ask about it then too. I think it is open to everyone but the speakers are all Catholic as far as I know and I don’t think it’s exclusively Catholic but it is not too late to get a full refund
 
A little bonus is that they did get Audrey Assad one year so that could be something that is also stirring my excitement
 
Catechumens would certainly be welcome at a Catholic conference. Converts are often the most devoted Catholics.
 
I can speak from experience that you are most definitely welcome. I attended back in my university days as an Anglican before I was even in Rcia.

it doesn’t matter what stage you are at, everyone is at a different point on their journey. Many people have had real conversions experiences at RiseUp

I am really glad I found CCO on campus, they have been a tremendous help for my own faith
