Hey, I just have never liked the song.
De gustibus non est disputandum

Go to another parish I suppose is the only real answer, because if a bishop or abbot or whom ever just says it is peachy keen to do such things have dancers and singers perform inside a place of worship, then the fight for common sense is just lost. An one can no longer expect that specific Church to expect silence from anyone in attendance.

I’ve seen non-religious concerts in a Catholic church. The sanctuary area was walled off and the Blessed Sacrament was, I presume, removed. I don’t remember if there was any food or drink, I’m thinking maybe not, but it was some years ago.

I’ve also seen non-religious concerts in Protestant churches and a synagogue.

I would imagine all these places do it to get money to help keep up the church buildings, which in all cases were very nice and also old.
In Melbourne, St Patrick’s Cathedral has often hosted concerts—and AFAIK, they are all religious-y, like organ and choir recitals.

Other Catholic churches here in Australia, also host concerts and I too presume that the Blessed Sacrament is removed.

Only the bishop can permit the church building to be used for non-religious purposes.

The Code of Canon Law states:

In a sacred place only those things are to be permitted which serve to exercise or promote worship, piety and religion. Anything out of harmony with the holiness the place is forbidden. The ordinary may, however, for individual cases, permit other uses, provided they are not contrary to the sacred character of the place (can. 1210).

If you have concerns that the sacredness of the church is not being respected, you should definitely bring it up with the pastor.
