I came across this web site and found it interesting and the information shocking.

Even if only a fraction of the information here is accurate then it is of great concern. I don’t live in the US, but I am assuming that a lot of massed produced Catholic items available in Europe and the UK will have come from the China as well.

This paragraph from half-way down the page sums up what it’s about. I’d be very interested in the views of other forum members.

*"Catholic Companies Who Manufacture in China

Each individual must make his or her own personal decision about goods Made in China - whether it’s frozen shrimp or flip flops for summertime. However, there is one area that we believe needs to be addressed: religious goods from China.

How can we validly pray the rosary on beads that fund a cruel government that kills the most innocent among us? Or send a greeting card with a note of encouragement for those trying to conceive printed in a country that practices infanticide? Every dollar we spend on religious goods Made in China funds the persecution of Catholic priests and the propagation of heinous practices that are an abomination in the eyes of Our Lord."*

Look, it is way too hard to be totally comprehensive about how we put what Jesus taught into action.

Next thing you know, you will be advocating that we stop funneling money to the Islamics in Saudi Arabia and Iran through our oil purchases.

And Walmart, you must know how much we love Walmart and all they buy from China.

Peace

PS, please be careful when you finger those beads and medals from China, that gold finish is probably cadmium and that silver probably contains lead .

My apologies for making the post.

When I see religious articles produced in a place like China, I am stirred to pray especially for the concern and conversion of those workers.
