Catholic Daily Bible Reading?

[stephe1987]

I like the idea of having Bible verses sent to me by email so I can read a little bit each day, get that daily reminder, and complete the entire Bible over the course of 1-2 years. However, the only sites I’ve found so far are Protestant sites, which are of course missing sections of the Bible.

Does anyone know of a Catholic site that does this? Thanks!

I use the Daily Gospel. Sends the readings every day, plus it usually includes the information for a saint.

uh yeah, there are several sites that have or link the daily lectionary readings, and I can’t think of a better way to read most of the entire bible over a 3 year period.

I’ve used: groups.google.com/group/dailyword

Comes also with with very good commentary (Navarre, which provides a collection of good commentary across the history of the Catholic Church), useful for prayer/reflection.

Daily or weekly digests.

That sounds good, but the thing is that I might forget to visit a website every day. I like the idea of Bible passages emailed to me each day so I remember to read them and set time aside for the Bible.

If you have an IPhone there is an AP called iMissal that you can download…it has a daily bible verse and the Readings for the Day under the section called Missal…Liturgy of the Word. It also includes many different Catholic Prayers.
