Catholic disaster relief volunteer opportunities?

Hello! Not long ago, I had the opportunity to volunteer with an international evangelical disaster relief organization to help victims of a natural disaster recover from the effects of that disaster, because a friend was organizing a service trip through her church. It was an incredible opportunity to be able to provide concrete aid, even in a small way, to help people who were in such difficult circumstances.

I would definitely be interested in volunteering again, and I was wondering if there were any Catholic organizations that provided similar opportunities to volunteer? I’m sure I’m missing something, but a quick web search only brought up organizations asking for donations, or more local non-disaster relief related volunteer opportunities. I have also seen opportunities to volunteer through my parish from time to time, but I am interested in an organization where one could volunteer as an individual or possibly organize a small group soon after a natural disaster, and travel there for a short time to help out with recovery and relief efforts. Does anyone have any ideas? 🤷 It would be very much appreciated! 🙂
 
I’m not an expert on this topic. Maybe something at ETWN or contact someone there for information? There is also a parish I came across not long ago about working in some impoverished nations. See here. Maybe see what they say? Sorry, I’m not more help. :o
