Of course, there’s always someone who can “explain” the secret Astrological basis for the Last Supper painting, for the Gettysburg Address, for Coverup of Aliens at Roswell, and for the design of the Food Court at Mall of America.

not that easy… Originaly Astrology and Astronomy were mixed together. Different people accross the world formed different types of astrology. The astrology we mostly commonly see nowadays is divination at it’s core and not allowable for Catholics. You may encounter (rare) eastern astrology who are more interested in patterns and influences and will not make divination or guesses about the future. But you seldom see those these days as the crowds are more looking for the Supernatural stuff

In ancient times, what we call Astrology and Astronomy were all one subject. The ancients did a great deal of genuine research.
It is misleading to refer to the Magi as “astrologers” because people today project backwards the 2019 meaning of that term.

Modern Astrology, as part of the larger New Age religion, blossomed as part of the anti-Reason, relativism movement of modern times.

Maybe it would be less confusing if I had referred to the astrological signs as constellations. Regardless of whether we put faith into astrology, we identify stars and patters as constellations.

It’s doubtful someone would look up at the Big Dipper and then worry that he had partaken in some form of astrological divination.
