If there is one organ in your entire body that needs washing, it would be your brain.
EVERY book tries to convey a message with accuracy. Having studied the entire issue of God down to its very deep roots, I can tell you that any mild attempt to read the really intended meaning in any Bible is a major undertaking.
Reading the Catholic version will certainly lead to different presumptions (sins) than any other Bible. The issue is to try to remove presumptions as much as possible.
The question is whether you have the required talent to actually see the real intent of passages better than what is proposed in the Catholic version. Can you compare your understanding ability to those of such priests on that subject?
If you only read the KJV and presume from there, you stand alone in your individual set of presumptions. If you accept the Catholic version with whatever presumptions you mistakenly gain from it, at least you have friends to try to help.
Or if you are really, really good, you don’t even have to read any Bible and presume from what you think you see.
The issue is “who’s advice (faith) are you willing to follow?” If you choose to read and study it all only on your own, you get what you asked for… alone.
