I was at a Catholic church in an out of state diocese where the second collection at Sunday Mass was in support of Catholic Education. It was announced: Our challenge as Catholic Faithful is the same: to hand on the Catholic Faith to succeeding generations.
Half of the money given to the church would remain in the parish to assist with their educational programs.

Do you have Catholic Education Collections at your church?
 
We are lucky in my diocese to have a college seminary (the first four years prep one) and we have a collection to help support the seminarians.
 
The Diocese of Wichita uses a stewardship model of contributions to fund its private schools. There was a recent fundraising drive in part to fund its seminarians due to the increase in numbers to 58 seminarians. Before that the diocese had funded their education through the same stewardship model.
