In my personal opinion is it is non practising Catholics that attack the church and show such hatred for her. For example in Ireland for centuries on Good Friday pubs/bars and off licences where closed as part of catholic tradition on Ireland, this year the anti Catholic Irish government lift this and I for one was annoyed. The abuse I read on social media mocking Jesus and the church was something else.

I’d say that’s valid
That sounds rather Gnostic; in essence, you’ve reduced the matter of the Gospel and salvation to a requisite level of mental assent. You assert that once one has studied enough, understanding follows, and one becomes Catholic through this enlightenment.

Where does that leave the intellectually challenged, the uneducated or illiterate, or those who simply do not have access to appropriate reading material?

No.

A method of Salvation (one of many) is studying it to the point of understanding and realizing it is the truth.

It’s not the only one

Jesus said, “Who do you say that I am”? Maybe today’s ways of living are an answer to that.

Perhaps. The Gospel is not really comprehensible via only the intellect though. In fact, Paul warned that it was foolishness to the (well learned) Greeks.

Only faith rights the pieces. And that is a gift - not earned.

It looks like there are a lot of people in this world you need to “love from afar”! enemies need to be prayed for, not spent time with.
