Church teaching? Or bishops’ opinions?

Is this a dogmatic teaching of the magisterium or a recommendation of the local conference of bishops?

Just want to clarify, although this issue doesn’t apply to me as I’m in Canada.

Sounds to me like a lot of hysteria going around on all sides.

As one who has been working in the pro-life arena for 40+ years, I can say:
There’s NO hysteria.

Obama was elected with the financial support of Planned Parenthood whose “work” in abortion services is well-known to all. To imagine that Obama will soften his goal AFTER passage of his chosen bill is delusional. Catholics are directed to adhere to teachings of the Church and bishops are our local teachers.

(Pamm’s notion that Catholics should only heed “infallible” teachings of the Pope is tragic.)
