Catholic High School Teacher: Moral Conundrum with Colleague

It’s a safeguarding issue tell the member of staff who is the lead for safeguarding
 
Seriously it’s unbelievable that there is such a lack of safeguarding training. I know the U.K. isn’t perfect in that the Government also has a say over faith schools but the law is quite clear about safeguarding and training. If this is the situation in just one school I dread to think what it may be like in others.
 
Hi all:

My President was very diligent. I literally emailed him shortly after posting this and he met with me almost immediately (I just said it was a sensitive issue, not what it was). He is taking this seriously, and he agreed that we need to re-train the teachers. He is new to the school this year like me. I feel so unburdened. He said it was providence that I knew the person who heard this information.
