I think this puts you at odds with the Church. I believe JPII apologized for the abuses and carnage of the Crusades and Inquisitions.Trust me, the Church was 100% justified in the Crusades and Inquisitions.

How about people guided by the devil? The devil is the father of lies so anyone who spreads these lies are speaking with the demon’s tongue when you come to think about it.I** also wonder who and what kinds of people put into the hearts and minds of non-Catholic Christians that make us seem like such monsters**…but when the tables are turned and they are responsible for death and destruction, oh…it’s a different story.
Yes, he apologised for some of the actions- not the calling for the Crusades or the Inquisitions. In fact if he did that, then he would be at odds with the Church, as I think 4 Grand Inquisitors are now Saints.I think this puts you at odds with the Church. The Church did nothing wrong for calling them. Unless. of course rooting out heresy and recapturing the Holy Land from Islam would have been a bad thing…Yes, he apologised for some of the actions- not the calling for the Crusades or the Inquisitions. I think you misunderstood Requiem’s post. JP II apologized for the abuse where there were abuses. The abuses that happened in the Crusades and Inquisitions were committed by the people who miscarried the mission set forth by the Church. The Crusade was in response to Islamist first blood and the Inquisition was in response to heresies in France and Spain mostly. The fact that the Church did not order people to commit abuses is too strong a truth to accept for some who have been taught hatred and lies.I think this puts you at odds with the Church. Are you talking about Martin Luther who in fact did indeed attack the Body of Christ, his church? How about people guided by the devil? The devil is the father of lies so anyone who spreads these lies are speaking with the demon’s tongue when you come to think about it.
Only the devil has an interest in attacking the Body of Christ.
As po18guy put it so succintly :
Does the Holy Spirit Unite?
Does the demon divide?

If we didnt talk about things from the past, what would we talk about, every nanno second that passes is the pasti’ve often wondered what manner of gratification people get by continually reliving the past. it cannot change. oh, yes, to the victor goes the spoils, but do righteous individuals of the Faith want to be lumped with them. no. we can take a hint by the Nazarene who did not dwell in the past. he forced people to look at the here and now, and decide what manner of moral life he or she was leading.
AAhh un-substantiated claims again. Stop parroting the devil please and READ, READ, READ. And the Truth will set you free.Selling of church offices.

You know what, such statements just show how ignorant you are of history. No The Roman Church sold its soul to insure its security in Constatine.
Your ignorance of history is disturbing. It screams of bigotry and severe ignorance - you do a huge disservice to the cause of Protestantism. No The Roman Church sold its soul to insure its security in Constatine.
