Thank you for the link. :bigyikes: From the linked article:
*"Fitting In’s semester-long schedule includes …parties where they learn to have meaningless conversations to forge social bonds;…*The most daring component pushes homeschoolers to experiment sexually.
…says Kushner. “Homeschoolers are much slower to catch on to what their sub-culture deems sinful activity, and that puts them at a social disadvantage. To put it bluntly, they need to loosen up and hop in the sack.”
So, it seems some Ivy Leaguers want to teach homeschooled graduates how to have meaningless conversations that lead to meaningless sex. Odd that a place that claims to value diversity tries to make formerly homeschooled students “fit in” rather than embrace the differences. The ray of hope in that article is where it says homeschoolers are “much slower to catch on to…sinful activity,”
We do the same. We don’t worry about accredidation and haven’t had a problem getting children accepted at Catholic schools. Some people choose to homeschool all 12 years, but many don’t. If people with younger children read this thread and worry about college admissions, I encourage them to step back and think about homeschooling one year at a time.
At present, we homeschool through the eigth grade, then onto a Catholic high school. That plan might change if tuition money runs out or if the school doesn’t stay loyal to the Magesterium, but so far–so good.
