Catholic HS Amnesty Chapters After New Abortion Policy?

I am an alumna of a Catholic college preparatory high school which had an Amnesty International Chapter when I was there several years ago, and which continues to have this student club. After the new pro-abortion policy which has been publicized in the last few months, is it appropriate for this club to continue at a Catholic high school?

As an alumna, would you recommend that I write a letter to the head of school, principal, etc. about this issue?

This is a clip from the Amnesty International organization regarding their views on abortion especially when the Vatican announced that they have ceased giving money to support this organization in view of their views of access to abortion.

Perhaps you should include this in your letter as reason for removing this organization. Instead, maybe they can form a junior branch of Catholic Relief Services or something like it. Pray on it as you write your letter.

All changes begin small and with one small voice. You may be all they need to realize their mistake. However, don’t give up if they do not respond initially or if they respond negatively. Keep trying. I will pray for you.

A just checked, and my old high school also has an Amnesty International Chapter. I think I’ll write a letter.
