I wear a sterling silver cross around my neck but would really like to get something different and would like to find a nice wood and gold, or wood and silver Crucifix.

I’ve been looking around and have not found one that quite meets my desires (apparently I am picky) 🤷

What is your favorite website to find good quality Catholic jewelry?

I don’t know of any specific Catholic jewelry websites, but be sure to check Ebay. You can find just about anything on Ebay!

Good luck - I hope you find what you are looking for! I wear a simple silver cross, too! 👍

Check the link in my signature - not sure if we have exactly what you are looking for, but there are many beautiful things in the shop. And if you ever get to the Detroit area, please check out the shop in person, there are zillions of beautiful and unique items. 👍

Thanks for the links. I think I should also point out that I am a 6’ 185 pound man and not looking for a dainty cross. Maybe I really am too picky.

I had to smile at this. 😃 My DH is over 6 feet tall, very deep voice, roughly 175 pounds, and we have been looking forever for the right crucifix for him! Everything seems to be so small/thin/fragile/dainty. He’s a GUY. He wants something substantial, classic, old-world-Italian. It’s tough.

THANK YOU!!! I honestly thought that maybe it was just me.

The cross I wear was a gift from my in-laws, but it was made by Native American silversmiths in New Mexico, its got a nice shape to it and I’ve been wearing it for many years, but it looks like “southwestern modern” jewelry and that is not my style (I wear only a cross, a wedding band, and a wristwatch). Both in-laws have now passed and I never told them that this was NOT the type of cross I would ever pick for me. So its time for me to buy the one I want to wear to show my faith, and I’d really prefer a Crucifix instead of a cross.

Some of the St Benedict Crucifixes that I have seen look great, but are either too small (about 1.5" tall) or are too big (3" tall) and most are rather inexpensive. Honestly I worry that they will not last very long. I don’t want a Crucifix that falls apart.

haven’t seen any wooden ones, but there are some very unusual crosses and crucifixes of all sizes at www.gallerybyzantium.com
they specialize in new jewelry inspired by early christian and byzantine styles.

WOW SOME OF THEIR DESIGNS ARE AWESOME! 🙂

Not exactly what I am looking for, but I was very impressed with their designs and am seriously considering a couple of their designs.

I made up my mind. And without your link I would still be searching! I’m buying the St Michael’s Cross. I was looking for a Crucifix and a St Michael’s medal, but really liked this design and it incorporates St Michael into the Cross.

It sounds like you found what you’re looking for, but just in case…

I purchased a St. Benedict medal through Chainzonline - chainzonline.com/ - and was pleased with both the medal and the service from them. They responded quickly to a question that I had, shipped the medal quickly, and let me know that it was on its way.

Well I did not find exactly what I was looking for, but I did find something that I very much liked.

I am thinking of also wearing a Ecco Homo metal with the St Michael’s Cross.

My question now is, it is OK to wear a cross and a medal too?

Is there any reason why you should not wear two (or more) things on the same chain? 🤷

I hope so! My Celtic crucifix and St. Gerard/Our Lady of Perpetual Help medal is on the same chain. 😃 They’re even 2 different metals (one is gold, the other silver), which I think is a fashion no-no, but it doesn’t bother me one bit.
