Can the USCCB get any sadder or more out of touch with Catholic orthodoxy? The USCCB too often parrots the views of the liberal media elites whose approval the USCCB craves.

This is not surprising it being one of the most liberal newspapers in the country.

But the fact is we all know what the movie really was…A great blessing. You just can’t steal the thunder of the Holy Ghost. 🙂

Well, this tells that the topic has scared somebody. They still fight back because … ? If the Christian religion is true, then there is no reason to continue the Jewish religion. If jews understand that, it must feel like being put to death.

But for the jews that do understand there is hope:

The film was one of the best I have ever seen!!!

Religious jews have all my respect, but they can’t change history and try to put down the Christian religion! Jesus was crusified because some jews asked for it. But the authoroty to make it happen was at the hands of the Romans.

There is a growing hate for the Jews, especially in Europe. THAT IS SAD! But it don’t justify attacks on the Christian religion!

This prayer both catholics and jews can pray together:

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. (Psalm 61:1) Amen.

God loves us all!!!

Actually, the Washington Time is quite conservative. The most liberal papers in the country are the New York Times, the LA Times and the Boston Globe, which are all owned by the same people.

I believe you meant to say the Washigton Post??

According to my friends in the DC area, it is indeed the Post and it is notoriously liberal, so no surprise there.

As a friend in the DC area, the Post is indeed liberal, although not as patently as the NY Times and Boston Globe. The Washington Times is much more conservative, although it is owned by the “Rev.” Sun Myung Moon.

Our hierarchy in general needs to stop avoiding salvation.

Jesus says “Woe to you pharisees and scribes hypocrites, you make void the word of God.”

Catechesis non existant! It is no wonder so many Catholics debate as to whether or not the Sandhedrin and Judas really did contribute to Jesus’ death. So many of our Pastors have listened to the Devil. Especially with all this false ecumenism we have going on and saying that its okay for non-catholics to recieve communion.

“You are like tombs that appear beautiful on the outside, but on the inside are full of plunder.”

75% of our bishops and priests voted for Kerry, and many supported pro-abortion politicians. These same pro-abortion politicians donated money to the churches and many of Bishops and priests feared that if not accepted that the Church’s tax exempt status would be taken away. The Rosary is discouraged, sin is downplayed piety scoffed at.

“You serpents, you brood of vipers, how can you escape from being sentenced to hell.”

So many decenting seminaries, its no wonder we see so many parishes without priests. Child molesting priests were running around when they should have been in jail and many bishops neglected to do anything about it. So much liturgical, missalette abuse and many “protestant” looking churches being promoted that don’t even look like a Catholic church.

“You say had we been around in the days of our ancestors, we never would have taken part in the shedding of the prophets blood. You thus bear witness against yourselves, for you are the sons of those who murdered the prophets from the innocent blood of Abel to Zechariah whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the alter.” (Something like that.)

Homilies are all about love these days, how much of that can one take? They will say abortion is okay, homosexuality is okay, contraception is okay. Many pastors these days tear down John Paul II, criticize the church’s teachings and calling them anti-semetic and discrediting the church fathers left and right. When Bishop Burke took a stand and defended the eucharist, not many people in our hierarchy supported him. Mel Gibson made a great movie about our Lord, and it gets criticized by Catholics who are sad to say, ashamed of being Catholic and hate to depict themselves as Catholics.

Obey our bishops and priests they are successors of the apostles, pray for them. The church needs reform!

Common Bishops be a sheppard, common priests be a pastor do your job!

bones,

Where did you get the number “75%” of Bishops and Priests voted for John Kerry?

I’ve heard it said that actually there isn’t anything explicitly “Christian” in the Our Father that would prevent it’s being said by Jews, Christians, or for that matter Muslims. The prayer itself was of course given by Jesus in answer to the request, “Lord, teach us to pray,” which is how it came to be known as the Lord’s Prayer.

I that number from a physician actually who’s pretty knowledgable about the election.
