Catholic Left Is On Wrong Side of History

What “liberal” dissenting Catholics don’t realize as they go on about “dialogue” on Church teachings which have been settled is that the West is hurtling towards tyranny through a door that has been opened by leftist/liberal thought.

“Liberal” Catholics seem to be living in a bubble of post-councilor euphoria, and blame the Church hierarchy for bursting their bubble. Dreams of their utopian Church which would gain acceptance and “credibility” to the secular world die hard.

It is though they missed the entire papacy of John Paul the Great. You can still catch them grumbling sometimes about how "the Church needs to get into the 20th Century.

That was a GREAT article, thank you for posting it, and is so true…👍

The post-councilor period is over. It ended during John Paul’s pontificate which proclaimed The New Evangelization.
What is the “new Evangelization”?

What was wrong with the old one?

Who are we evangelizing?

Certainly not Jews, Muslims, Orthodox, Protestants, Buddists, Hindus, Animists or anyone who already holds to a false religion…

Since 1965 we have the “far left” and the “ordthodox left”, who can not see that the “far left” exist because of their own liberal pronoucements since 1965.

They opened Pandoras box at Vatican II.

as I ignore John 1959’s nonsensical ramblings and attempted thread hijacking, I say…

WOW! What an article! 👍

Everybody needs to click on the link and read it all the way through. Seriously. Do it now! 😃

Were he alive today, I think Fr. John Courtney Murray, SJ might disagree with you.

I think Fr. Murray was on the morally right side of history.

So do I think Fr. Horace McKenna was on the morally right side of history.
