TORONTO, ON (LifeSiteNews) - A monthly Canadian Catholic magazine of news, analysis and opinion has been burdened by $20,000 in legal costs in the process of defending itself against a campaign of harassment - including a human rights complaint - launched by homosexualist activists.

Fr. Alphonse de Valk, the editor of Catholic Insight (CI) magazine, spoke to LifeSiteNews.com today about the expensive and drawn-out harassment and human rights complaint that have been leveled against the magazine for the last year and a half.

It is upon us - regulate free speech by calling it hate speech. Same objective different tactic.
 
I wouldn’t go so far as to label this “the new persecution” or to say this is the start of it.

This is the motivation, given to me by an anonymous person on another forum: “We no longer want to feel guilty or ashamed or sinful.” By simply labeling anything anyone says that makes them uncomfortable as “hate speech,” one group can censor another group.

By rejecting sound Judeo-Christian teaching and tradition, a small group of radicals have embedded themselves in Government and Academia in both the United States and Canada. Canada’s woes span a 40 year period just like in the United States. It is obvious that the Hippie Movement and associated immoral sex culture plus illegal drugs was marketed in both countries with similar effect.

I read somewhere that the Canadian government was putting a halt on any public speaking out by the church on the gay issues…both in print and on public airways/pulpits. Apparently, this is going to be a test of this legislation. We should pray for the church in Canada in a big way.

that He will destroy all of these Orwellian laws in
Canada, the United States, and in Europe too.
