Catholic marriage/relationship books NOT about sex?

Any suggestions?

I’ve read “The Good News about Sex and Marriage” by Christoper West, and gave it to my Evangelical girlfriend. We have some things to talk about.

Currently reading “Life-Giving Love” by Kimberly Hahn. Great so far.

However, both of these are basically books about the sexual part of marriage.

We’ve read books by Protestants like “The Meaning of Marriage” by Tim Keller, “Single Men Are Like Waffles; Single Women Are Like Spaghetti” by Bill & Pam Ferrel, went to a “What Did You Expect?” conference with Paul Tripp, and currently looking at “Love and Respect” by Emerson Eggerich. So far, all pretty good; nothing that I can tell is especially problematic from a Catholic perspective.

Are there any Catholic books about overall improving marital spirituality and non-sexual intimacy? Where are the Catholic books that explore marriage outside the bedroom?
 
When Divorce is not an Option by Gregory Popcack has some great stuff about how to establish greater connection with your spouse. Not a fan of the title, though, as it almost implies that the book is only for couples who are very seriously messed up already.
 
Popcak’s books For Better… Forever, The Exceptional 7 Percent, and aa Marriage Made For Heaven come to mind.
 
Kimberly Hahn wrote an entire series on marriage, called Life-Nurturing Love; the first, Chosen and Cherished: Biblical Wisdom for Your Marriage, focuses on building a marriage on faith. Special attention is given to topics such as conflict resolution, setting shared financial goals, and communication skills. Though her target audience is women, men should also find this book valuable as the role of a wife can only be properly understood in conjunction with the role of a husband.

The second book is about the importance of creating and managing a home where the needs of everyone therein are met, while the two final volumes focus on parenting.

While these are great recommendations, I’m personally not a Popcak fan. His books are very educational and faithful to the Church, I just don’t care for his personality. Many do though. To each their own I guess. :o
 
I just wanted to add all of the Love Languages books by Gary Chapman. He is Protestant, but a very wise man. His books are easy reads and have a lot of great advice geared towards each individual’s own personality type. 🙂
