Catholics who pray the Rosary properly are meditating on the mysteries of Christ. For me personally, the meditations of the Rosary have given me a deeper understanding of the most important events of the life of our Lord. And yet, all protestants see is that that there are more “Hail Mary’s” than “Our Father’s” in the Rosary, therefore, we must be worshiping Mary. :banghead:

This perception is made more valid when you see someone praying the Rosary during Mass, though.

I want to tell these people, there is a proper time, and this ain’t it!!!

Ahh, but you will find nary a single protestant who would dare associate Mary with the same reverence. So if by christian you mean some form of Catholic then I guess your statement would be correct.

These days, her Son adorns & dresses her as she deserves :yup: …You really want to:eek: argue with :bowdown2: Him over that???:confused:

I don’t know if I’ve said this or not but…

Kings were adorned with precious things, and Presidents are given nice clothing. Jesus is often portrayed with gold and beautiful clothes, but is he not “meek and humble of heart?” It is to honor them.

The pictures of her you might see in a Catholic Church reflect the state of her soul rather than her physical state on earth. She is pure, her humility on earth affirms this.

Humilty, obedience and being dressed in beautiful clothes are not mutually exclusive. One can be dressed smart and yet be humble…
The Catholic representation of Mary being adorned in beautiful clothes with gold and jewellery is biblical

Psalm 45: 6-18, is a a prophecy about the Messiah: V9"The daughters of kings come to meet you; the queen takes her place at your right hand in gold of Ophir.
Verse 17 I will make your name memorable through all generations; therefore shall nations praise you forever and ever."
The queen who stands at Jesus’ right hand, (The Mother of King Solomon sat on his right hand side as Queen not one of his wives) whose name the Lord promises will be made “memorable through all generations,” points to Mary, the mother of Jesus. For, as we see in Luke 1: 48, Mary herself proclaims the prophecy of the psalm fulfilled when, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, she echoes it by saying: “…behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed.” By including this passage in her Magnificat, the inspired Gospel writer is clearly signaling the faithful that she will be the queen who is at the right hand of the Messiah.

Since when do we ever listen to humble people who try to direct honour to someone else? Mary’s humility is one reason why she is such an awesome model for us (but of course, not as good as Jesus). I found it rather interesting that you capitalized She and Her occasionally…

in the book of ezekiel, nebuchadnezzer, an evil pagan king is called “king of kings”

"For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon,* a king of kings**, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people." (ezekiel 26:7)*

and we call jesus the “king of kings”

“These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”
(revelation 17:14)

does this mean that when we call jesus by this title we are really worshiping the pagan king nebuchadnezzar? of course not! so how can you say that we are invoking the name of a pagan goddess when we call mary “queen of heaven.”

also the pagans called their false god Baal their “lord” and “god”, does this mean when we call jesus Lord and God we are worshiping Baal?
